Oaklawn Academy

Oaklawn Academy is a boarding school. It was founded in 1984 by the Legionaries of Christ, a controversial religious institute of the Roman Catholic Church. The majority of Oaklawn students are of Hispanic origin with the vast majority coming from Mexico.

Originally situated in Cheshire, Connecticut, the academy moved, in 1986, to Edgerton, Wisconsin, in a rural area on the shore of Lake Koshkonong, 25 miles from Madison, Wisconsin, and approximately two hours north of Chicago.

The campus is located just off Interstate 90.

Oaklawn's growing alumni network of more than 3,500 members has assisted in funding the academy's equestrian school, computer laboratory, library, and language laboratory.
