Namish Taneja is an Indian television actor. He was born on 11 September 1994 in Delhi. He originally wanted to pursue choreography but could not share that desire with his parents. Instead he secretly started learning b-boying and started teaching his seniors at school. Contrary to his expectations his father renovated a room in their house where he could practice dancing.[1]

Taneja made his debut as Chiraag in an Indian television drama Ekk Nayi Pehchaan which aired on Sony Entertainment Television India. He is currently playing the lead role of Lakshya Durga Prasad Maheshwari opposite Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar in the daily soap Swaragini - Jodein Rishton Ke Sur on Colors TV. The show also stars Helly Shah and Varun Kapoor as the lead roles.[2][3]
