Maya (born Kim Young-sook on 17 November 1975) is a South Korean singer and actress. Maya began her singing career as an underground rock music singer in 1996, and made her onscreen performance debut on the Mnet program Show King M on 11 March 2003. Maya's first hit song from her debut album was "Azalea," based on the same-titled poem by Kim Sowol.[1][2][3]
