Mark Gerard Miles is a Gibraltarian Catholic priest who serves as the English interpreter for Pope Francis.[1]

Miles came to public attention following Pope Francis' visit to the Philippines and the United States in 2015 when his simultaneous interpretation into English was highly commended by the public. Mark attended the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in Rome and has had official postings with the Secretariat of State of the Holy See in Ecuador and Hungary[2][3]

In September 2015 Miles was awarded the Gibraltar Medallion of Distinction.[4]
