List of unused highways in Germany
An unused highway may reference a highway or highway ramp that was partially or fully constructed but was unused[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] or later closed.[10][11][12] An unused ramp can be referred to as a stub ramp,[13] stub street,[2][14][15] stub-out,[2] or simply stub.[16][17] The following is a list:
Germany
- Kreuz Dortmund-Nordwest (A2 / A45) - bridges and sliproads exist to carry the A45 north of this junction.
- Kreuz Castrop-Rauxel-Ost (A42 / A45) - bridges and sliproads exist to carry the A42 east of this junction.
- A44 between A61 and A46, closed and taken over by the Garzweiler lignite mine expansion.
- Reichsautobahn stretches were abandoned at outbreak of World War II. Some parts remained for decades, like the Reichsautobahn Berlin-Königsberg sections in Poland, called Berlinka there.
