Levittown station is a SEPTA Regional Rail in Tullytown, Pennsylvania. Located at Bristol Pike and Levittown Parkway, it serves the Trenton Line. It has also been known as Levittown–Tullytown in timetables and past signage (and is listed thus in Google Maps).

History

The current station was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1953 to serve the then-new namesake community, replacing an adjacent PRR station named Tullytown.[2] As with many Pennsylvania Railroad stations, the station became a Penn Central station once the New York Central & Pennsylvania Railroads merged in 1968. When Penn Central closed the 1891-built Morrisville PRR station in 1969,[3] Levittown became the second northernmost station on the Trenton Line, and the northernmost on the line in Pennsylvania. Amtrak took over intercity railroad service in 1971, but Penn Central continued to serve commuters between Philadelphia and Trenton. Conrail took over commuter service in 1976, and turned the Trenton Line over to SEPTA Regional Rail in 1983.

The station is in zone 4 on the SEPTA Trenton Line, on the Amtrak Northeast Corridor, and at one time was served by Amtrak.[4] In 2004, this station saw 532 boardings on an average weekday. Amtrak no longer stops at this station. This station has a ticket office and an off-street parking lot.
