Michigan House of Representatives

In November 2014, Chatfield was elected to a two-year term, beginning January 2015, representing the 107th District in the Michigan House of Representatives.[1][2] He was the only candidate in the 2014 Michigan legislative elections to unseat an incumbent when he defeated Frank Foster in the primaries.[4][7][8]

In the House, Chatfield serves on the House Committees on Education, Health Policy, and Tax Policy, and chairs the Local Government committee.[1][4][5][7] He was one of only two freshmen legislators to be appointed by Speaker Cotter to serve as chair of a standing committee.[6]
