The station is owned by United Broadcasting Company, and features programming from Univision Radio. The station was known as Radio Unica of Utah. It is now branded Super-Radio 1640, and is simulcasted on KHQN 1480, which serves Utah County.

The station used to be run by David C. Kifuri, and other personalities from Latin America. It was a pioneer of Spanish talk in the state of Utah.
