Julio César "Cata" Domínguez Juárez (born 8 November 1987 in Arriaga, Chiapas) is a Mexican footballer, who plays as centre back with Cruz Azul in Liga MX.[1]

Career

He has remained with Cruz Azul, having originally started as a pure center back, and he has proven his versatility with solid performances at right fullback and left fullback.

He also played for the Mexico Under-20 team and was regarded as one of the brightest young defensive players that Mexico had. He made his debut for the Mexico national team on 22 August 2007 in a friendly against Colombia. After a seven-year absence from the national team, Mexico national team manager Miguel Herrera called him up for friendlies against the national football teams of Honduras and Panama. He would then be called up again against Netherlands and Belarus.
