Jerry Franklin is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CPBI which includes CPTV and WNPR in Hartford, Connecticut.

Early life

Jerry Franklin was born to Jasper Remer Franklin Sr., a veteran of the United States Army, and Myrtis H. Franklin of Candler County, Georgia. Franklin married Ida Durden-Franklin of Metter, Georgia. A search of birth archives for a Jerry Franklin born in Georgia for all the years from 1947-1957 found no such person born in Georgia. There were many Jerry Franklin's born in North Carolina, Texas, Kentucky, and some in California and a couple in Ohio and West Virginia but none of these had Jasper and Myrtis for a mother and father. A search of World War II enlistment records for Jasper Franklin also found that no such person had enlisted in the appropriate time frame for Jerry Franklin's father. Again there were many many Jerry Franklin's who enlisted and there was one J.C. Franklin who enlisted on Jan. 29, 1942, about the right time for Franklin's father who was born in 1920 and the military might have made a mistake on the middle initial but a search of birth and christening records for Georgia because Hansford, georgia was on the enlistment record as residence place also found no such person born in any of Georgia in 1920.
