Guinea–Israel relations

Guinea–Israel relations refers to the current and historical relationship between Guinea and Israel. Diplomatic relations between Guinea and Israel were re-established in July 2016.[1]

History

Israel had diplomatic relations with the colonial French Guinea until 1958, when Guinea became independent.[1] In 1967, Guinea cut ties with Israel.[2]

Trade relations

Israel exported a total of US $4.13 million to Guinea in 2014, mainly electronics and raw materials,[3] while Guinea's exports to Israel totaled US $6.95 million, almost exclusively raw diamonds.[4]
