The GMC Granite is a compact crossover SUV concept, developed and designed by GMC. It was introduced at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.[1][2] If produced, the Granite would be GMC's smallest crossover SUV.
The Granite is powered by a 1.4 L (85 cu in) EcoTec turbocharged I4 that produces 138 hp (103 kW) and 148 lb·ft (201 N·m). This is matched to a six-speed transmission with a dual-clutch. The GMC Granite would have replaced the Chevrolet Meriva in South America. The GMC Granite is the first (and only) car in the subcompact crossover SUV class to have rear-hinged doors.
