The Premier Futsal League of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnian: Premijer futsal liga Bosne i Hercegovine) is the top-level futsal League in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The competition is organized by Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Formation and history

The Premier League was founded in 2013. Prior, since 1994, there were two entitiy leagues with best teams from both playing playoff between themselves to crown the champion. Later, after UEFA decided to help Bosnia and Herzegovina FA to establish nationwide league played in whole country, the league itself was started in 2013, at same time as Women's football league kicked-off (also assisted by UEFA).

Format

There are 12 teams taking part in competition. The league is played in two phases. In first phase teams play each other once. Top six teams qualify to Championship league while bottom six teams qualify to Relegation league. In both second phase leagues teams play each other twice so there are 21 rounds (11+10) total. Top team of championship league is crowned champion while bottom two teams of Relegation league are relegated.

In first two seasons of Premier league, there was only one phase with round-robin home and away format. Top team after 22 rounds was crowned champion.

If relegated teams comes from Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity, they will play in First league of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina next season; otherwise, if team comes from Republic of Srpska entity, it will take part in First league of Republic of Srpska. Relegated teams could be both from same entity. Champions of entity leagues both get promotion to Premier league.

Winner of the competition qualifies to the next season's UEFA Futsal Cup. Best result in the competition by a Bosnian Herzegovinian team was made in 2013-14 season when Tango Sarajevo reached Elite round (last 16).
