Fujimizaka

Fujimizaka (Japanese: 富士見坂, “hill for viewing Mount Fuji”) is a lane in Tokyo, Japan. It is the only place in the city with street-level views of Mount Fuji, which is 100km away. However, the construction of new high-rise buildings are expected to also make it the last place in the city to have had street-level views of the mountain. The obscuring construction has been met with opposition by some Japanese - with petitions going as high up as to the UN.[1]
