Darbhanga College of Engineering (DCE Darbhanga) is a government owned engineering college in Bihar, India, inaugurated by Nitish Kumar(chief minister of Bihar) ESTD in 2008. It is affiliated with the Aryabhata Knowledge University, Patna.
History
It was previously known as Jagannath Mishra Institute of Technology(JMIT). In 2008 it reopened with a new name, Darbhanga College of Engineering, under Lalit Narayan Mithila University(LNMU). In 2011, it became a member of the AKU Family.The owners of this property was Late Sri Jyoti Prasad Singh ji,Zamindar of HariharPur Estate who constructed it in 1935.after the great earthquake of bihar in1934 this was constructed by M/s Bhambhri &Co.Ahmedabad and is an earthquake proof construction.It changed hands in 1982 due to the continuos security threat issues for the then JMIT

Admission
The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts the entrance test in April–May for all Bihar government institutions in two stages. The first stage is the screening test or preliminary test .The screened candidates appear in the mains Examination (second stage). Based on the merit list of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (2nd stage) successful candidates are required to appear at the office of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Patna.

The campus is at Mabbi (NH-57), Darbhanga.
campus is well equipped with Labs,Library,Playground and Wi-fi Facility.
Computer lab is well established with internet connectivity.
Hostel facility is available for Both Boys and Girls.
