Clonlara School is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States. The school operates a Campus Program and a Home Based Education Program as alternative education.

It has operated a private campus school since 1967. This campus is attended by students daily. In 1979, its Home Based Education Program (HBEP) was established to serve students all over the world. Both the Campus Program and HBEP serve students in Kindergarten through high school graduation. Clonlara School is accredited by Accreditation International (Ai), Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA-CESS), and the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).

Enrollment

In 2013, there were 741 students enrolled in the school. The campus enrollment was 40 students, while the home-based program enrollment was 701 students, approximately two-thirds of whom were in grades 9–12. Campus students reside in the Ann Arbor and surrounding areas, while home school students reside in regions across the United States and 25 additional countries including: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Namibia, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

Graduates have gone on to various pursuits including college, entrepreneurial, athletic, artistic or military endeavors.

Accreditation

Clonlara School is accredited by the following organizations: Accreditation International (Ai), Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA-CESS), and the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).[1]

History

Clonlara was founded by Pat Montgomery[2] in 1967 as a private day school. A second program was established in 1979, the Clonlara Home Based Education Program, which accommodates home schooling families in the United States and over 24 other countries.
