Cannabis in Luxembourg

Cannabis in Luxembourg is illegal; possession, transportation and consumption are illegal, but possession of personal amounts is decriminalized. Prosecution depends on the amount of cannabis one possesses. Since 2001, prison penalty has been substituted by a monetary fine ranging from 250 to 2500 Euros.[1]

Decriminalization

Sources differ as to the year of decriminalization of cannabis in Luxembourg, either 1996,[2] 2001,[3] or 2002.[4]
