Economy

Economic activities mainly consists of farming. It is one of the highest rice and corn producer among towns of Isabela province.

Local government

The recent election for the Mayoral post on May 9, 2016, Hon. Kervin Francis G. Uy, an incumbent Liga Ng mga Barangay (LnB) President from Barangay Catabban,Burgos defeated Atty. Simplicio N. Domingo, II, a former Board Member of the 2nd District of Isabela, by 2,131 votes. Hon. Ruben A. Tegui, a 3rd termer Municipal Mayor run for Vice Mayor defeating the incumbent Municipal Vice Mayor, Hon. Fred S. Dela Cruz. The following are the elected Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality, to wit: 1. Hon. Ansley Val C. Tegui - 2nd Termer 2. Hon. Roderick C. Gamayon - 2nd Termer 3. Hon. Myrna P.
