BQE Software Inc. is a California-based privately owned corporation that develops time and expense tracking, project management, billing, accounting, and reporting software for Architects, Engineers, Accountants, Consultants and other service professionals.
The company employs around 150 people in its US, Australia, Europe and India offices.
History
The company was founded by Shafat Qazi and David Breiholz in 1995.[1] The first version of its flagship product, BillQuick, was released in 1996.[1]
In November 2009, BQE Software acquired Orange Loft llc, the makers of ArchiOffice and EngineerOffice, the office and contact management software for Architects & Engineers.[2]
In March 2010, the company released a major upgrade to its Flagship product BillQuick.[3] Also that month, the company released BillQuick 2011 with Automatic Billing [4]
In July 2011, the company released ArchiOffice 2011 featuring top architect requests.[5]
In November 2011, the company unveiled new BillQuick Mobile Application.[6]
In March 2012, the company unveiled BillQuick 2012.[7]
In August 2012, the company released new ArchiOffice 2012 as a web-based application.[8]
In November 2014, the company announced it was giving two free licenses of its cloud-based architecture software, ArchiOffice Online, to architectural startups, for two years.[9]
In May 2015, the company announced BillQuick Legal 2015, the legal version of its BillQuick software.[10]
