"Baby the Rain Must Fall" is a song written by Elmer Bernstein and Ernie Sheldon and performed by Glenn Yarbrough after he left the Limeliters for a solo career. In early 1965, the song reached #2 on the adult contemporary chart and #12 on the Billboard chart.[1]

The song appeared on Yarbrough's 1965 album, Baby the Rain Must Fall. It was recorded at RCA Victor's Music Center of the World in Hollywood, California.[2]
The song was arranged by Bread lead singer David Gates.[3] Earl Palmer played drums on the song.
