BW 90 IF is a Swedish football club located in Bjärsjölagård in Sjöbo Municipality, Skåne County.[1]

Background

BW 90 Idrottsförening were formed in 1990 following the merger of Bjärsjölagårds IF and Vollsjö IF. After several years of cooperation Vollsjö chose to go their own way and the current BW 90 is thus now in principle synonymous with the old Bjärsjölagård IF. The club however have chosen to keep the BW 90 title as it is a well established name among other football clubs.[2]

Since their foundation BW 90 IF has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club currently plays in Division 2 Södra Götaland which is the fourth tier of Swedish football. They play their home matches at their own sports field, Bjärsjölagårds IP, which is in the middle of Bjärsjölagård.[3]

BW 90 IF are affiliated to Skånes Fotbollförbund.[4]
