The BLAST network is a proposed light rail transit system in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It was conceived as part of the city's 2007 transportation master plan. It was later incorporated by Metrolinx as part of its regional transportation plan, The Big Move.[1] The network's B-Line and A-Line are among the plan's prioritized transit expansion projects and was confirmed funding in May 2015 by the Government of Ontario. [2]

Rolling stock
The system is expected to use Flexity Freedom light rail cars built by Bombardier Transportation. The same cars are expected to be used on the Eglinton Crosstown line in Toronto and the Ion rapid transit in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo.
