The Augusta Exchange is an 87-acre (350,000 m2) regional power center in Augusta, Georgia located at the southeast corner of the intersection of I-520 and I-20 and is a 1/4 of a mile from Augusta Mall.[2] Located on former farm land,[3] the center opened in October 1997 and leases approximately 800,000 square feet (74,000 m2) of retail space.[1] Its main anchors are Target,[4] and a 20-screen Regal Cinemas movie theater.[5] The shopping center is currently owned by Kimco Realty.

The Augusta Exchange saw a period of many store closings in 2008 and 2009, however, most of the vacant spaces were leased to new tenants in 2010. Ashley Furniture Homestore reopened in the former Goody's location in mid-2010, Basset's Ice Cream replaced a former Alltel in the Spring of 2010, Christmas Tree Shops opened in the former Circuit City location in late 2010, At&t Wireless replaced the former Friedman's Jewelers in Spring 2010, and Discount Furniture replaced the former Bed Mattress in March 2010.
