Anthony David Chisholm (born 24 February 1978) is an Australian Labor politician, representing Queensland in the Australian Senate since 2016.[1]

Background and career

Born and raised in Brisbane, Chisholm graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics and Industrial Relations.[2]

Chisholm joined Labor in 1995 and served as the Queensland State Secretary between 2008 and 2014, when he was appointed as the Campaign Director for the Queensland branch of Australian Labor Party.[3][4] Following announcement of the retirement of Senator Joe Ludwig, in 2015 Chisholm was endorsed as a Labor Senate candidate for Queensland at the 2016 federal election,[5][6][7] and was subsequently elected.[1]
