American Top Team (ATT) is one of the primary teams in mixed martial arts. It was founded by former members of Brazilian Top Team, Ricardo Liborio, Marcus "Conan" Silveira and Marcelo Silveira but there is no formal affiliation between the two teams. ATT's main academy is in Coconut Creek, Florida but has academies throughout the United States. ATT features professional fighters who have competed in many major promotions such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), PRIDE Fighting Championships, DREAM, K-1, Strikeforce, and Bellator.[1]

History

Ricardo Liborio, in 2001, left Brazilian Top Team to start ATT with hotel executive Dan Lambert as a partner. Lambert provided financial support and business expertise, while Liborio formed a small group of Brazilian fighters to join him in Coconut Creek. In just five years, ATT grew to a 20,000-square-foot (1,900 m2) headquarters, 20 franchises and several affiliate gyms following their system of MMA training.[2]
