All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi Extension, Jhajjar

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi Extension is a medical college and medical research public university based in New Delhi ,with a second campus in Jhajjar, Haryana. The Institute was established in 2012 and operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The campus is spread over acres of land at Badhsa village in Haryana`s Jhajjar district. AIIMS Delhi Extension was visualized by Minister of Health and Family welfare of India Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss and Prof. Tirath Das Dogra at Director AIIMS Delhi in 2009. SIIMS-II was thought to be developed as the largest Medical Education centre for super-specialities in the World. It was built at a cost of ₹10 billion (US$150 million) and was fully operational in 2012. Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad inaugurated Outreach OPD of AIIMS in November 2012. Government had also planned to open National Cancer Institute within the campus of AIIMS Jhajjar.[1] [2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
