The 2016–17 FIA Formula E season is the third and current season of the FIA Formula E championship beginning on 9 October 2016 in Hong Kong.[1] Sebastien Buemi is the defending drivers champion and Renault e.dams is the defending teams champion.

Calendar

FIA confirmed the season 3 calendar in July 2016.[38] The series will expand to twelve rounds at ten venues. The United States round moves from Long Beach to New York City. New rounds in Hong Kong (Hong Kong), Morocco (Marrakech), Belgium (Brussels) and Canada (Montreal) are added while Russia (Moscow) and Uruguay (Punta del Este) were dropped. The Monaco ePrix will return to the calendar after a one-year absence. London is looking for a new venue after Battersea Park lost the rights to host the ePrix.
