The 2016–17 Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks men's basketball team represents the University of Maryland Eastern Shore during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hawks, led by third-year head coach Bobby Collins, play their home games at Hytche Athletic Center and are members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

Previous season

They finished the 2015–16 season 10–22, 7–9 record in MEAC play to finish in a tie for 5th place. They fell to Morgan State in the first round of the MEAC Tournament.
