The 7th edition of Arab Champions League was supposed to be in a new format, with only the Champions of all the domestic leagues would participate in, while the champions of domestic cups would play in the Arab Champions Cup. But the idea of the Arab Champions Cup was postponed for one more year, and it was canceled this season and would be back in next season.
