The 1995-96 Cleveland Cavaliers season was the 26th season of NBA basketball in Cleveland, Ohio.[1] During the offseason, the Cavaliers acquired three-point specialist Dan Majerle from the Phoenix Suns. Early in the season, Tyrone Hill was seriously injured in an automobile accident and was out for most of the first half of the season.[2] Hill returned and played off the bench as the Cavaliers finished the season with a 47–35 record, finishing 3rd in the Central Division. Terrell Brandon was the team's leading scorer and was selected for the 1996 NBA All-Star Game. In the first round of the playoffs, the Cavs were swept by the 5th-seeded New York Knicks in three straight games. Following the season, Majerle signed as a free agent with the Miami Heat, and Michael Cage signed with the Philadelphia 76ers.
