'Home' Chapter 1 is the first Korean extended play (second overall) by Kangta. It was released on November 3, 2016 by S.M. Entertainment under distribution by KT Music. It was his the first korean release since eight-years.

Background and release

In September 2015, it was reported that Kangta will be releasing new album in 2016[1] and S.M. Entertainment confirmed with said that , "Kangta has been steadily working on new music, but the release date has not been set yet."[2]

Soon after, Kangta announced will be held concert for celebrate his 20th debut anniversary titled Coming Home from November 4 till November 6 at SMTown Theatre, as a part of SM Entertainment's concert series The Agit. On October 11, S.M. Entertainment announced Kangta will be returned with new album since eight-years hiatus from Korea music scene.[3][4] On October 27, S.M. Entertainment announced Kangta will be released mini album 'Home' Chapter 1 on November 3. The mini album contain of five track composed by himself.[5] The title track will be Pop-Ballad track, Diner.[6]
