Spinster: Making a Life of One's Own

In her 2015 New York Times Bestselling book, Bolick asks and answers a question that plagues modern women: "How does a woman move through life alone?" Spinster dives into the possibilities and pleasures of single life. Using her own life as a starting point, Kate Bolick invites readers into her carefully considered, passionately lived life to understand why she (along with over 100 million other American woman) are still unmarried.

Spinster "actually offers is an idiosyncratic journey through Bolick’s decades-long exploration of how to live independently, with cues from an assortment of nontraditional women."[3]
