Hey! I'm working more on that Bento Dakimakura that I'd started last year and am getting to work on the last image for it. But I can't quite decide how I want to do it and wanted to ask you guys what you think!

This will be the backside for the NSFW daki, and then an edited version will be used for the backside of a SFW daki. I was initially leaning towards the version on the right side so that sketch is a little more cleaned up, so for now try to make the judgement based more on the posing. (pretend his equipment is the same size too, I know how you all think)

I still need to do some more work and research about how soon the finished product will be available and how I'll sell/distribute them, but I think I'm going to do some preorders for them. I'll likely have a bundle deal offering both the NSFW and SFW dakis for people who want both, and then I'll do something to offer uncropped/uncensored versions of the images too and maybe have that as a part of the bundle or as a separate image pack for people who don't want the dakis.

Anyway let me know which version you like better! And if you have any info or feedback on any other daki stuff let me know!

I'm sorry I haven't had time to post much here lately. I've been busy with NDA freelance work, bigger projects (namely fursuit stuff, more info on that below!), and (this past week) visiting friends!

The main thing I want to ask here is what you guys would like to see more of from me here. I haven't really done a lot of big, nicely finished, art lately that would normally get posted here. But would you guys like to see more things like sketches or doodles, work-in-progress pictures (or even sequential images showing how my paintings progress from start to finish), lineart versions of pictures, or sketches and concepts for fursuit stuff? I had been planning to have taken more, but I'd had some things that needed to get done and I've busy working on those. My current plan to is to get back to doing them after MFF. This was a thing I did for my friend Glitch! I'd intended to be opening for some commissions, but I've been kept busy between my job and the freelance animation I do on the side and honestly have hardly had the time to draw for myself at all lately!

Werebearcat is a big cuddly baby, but I actually am forcing myself to settle on a name for him so his name is actually Bento now!

His bicep is thicker than Laz's (the little binturong/my sona) body so that's also something I guess geez

My process for handling patreon is leaving a sticky not on my laptop with "patreon!" written on it with some underlines and then occasionally going and checking it and then saying to myself: "Oh geez has it really been that long since I last uploaded anything???" And then (hopefully) fixing that.

Anyway here's a new character I've sorta been working on; He's a Fossa hexer and runs an occult shop on the odd side of town. Mostly he sells lots of trinkets, charms, and bullshit to tourists and the gullible that only work in the same way placebos do. But if you know that right words or just spark his interest enough, he'll take you behind the counter and into the backroom, where he keeps all the serious magic....

He'll probably be dark brown or maybe purple (though I'd worry people would mistake him for a panther) and he'll use his body as a canvas upon which he'll paint runes and magic circles and the like in white paint.

As usual for characters I tend to make I've been slow to figure out a name for him lol I'll probably name him after one of the Princes of Hell or a demon!

My friend suggested I do a doodle of 2 bigs touching. And then I did.

Hey! Sorry for not having update for a little (I think it's only been a little over a week, but you know what I mean!)

So apparently some bootleg site got started up that is reposting the art from a lot of Patreon accounts (mostly furry artists). A number of artist friends and I have had their content reposted and it's certainly discouraging.

It's tough to deal with a fandom where art is so integral yet the artists are still so thoroughly disregarded. The sense of entitlement a lot of this fandom has toward art can be difficult. They expect the work that artists spend many many hours of

work upon to be provided to them for free. When artists offer to take commissions, you get people just saying they wish they had money for it or even just asking for free art. They'll be quick to cry out that the artist may be 'charging too much' for their work, even if it may be fair price, leading artists to undercharge themselves and other artists doing the same just to keep their prices competitive.

Yet then when artists have an outlet for people to actually support them to produce a little extra content of their own, people to call it out and refuse to support it. Or even just flat out say it isn't even art if it was paid for (obviously the history of art would beg to differ on that point).

Art is very much a career just as any other is. It's because of people like this that it is still sold short, or that people say that it's "not a real job". While I've yet to pick it up full time, doing art professionally is very difficult to sustain and that mentality is arguably the core reason to that.

That aside; I do very much appreciate those of you who are willing to help and support artists such as myself. :) It really does mean a lot to me and many others as well.

And to those reading this who may not be supporting, naturally I'd hope you'd reconsider, but more importantly I'd like for you to understand. And if you really do care, at least try and give back if you can. Spread the word, tell your friends, add a proper tag to a post on tumblr or twitter. It all matters.
