So I got a little inspired for Halloween this year and wanted to draw a pinup, which evolved into two and some. I really loved the witch Sandra I drew back in March so I wanted to continue that when it was actually appropriately thematic. A second pinup sort of evolved to be an 'impish' Sandra which I liked a lot :3

Some doodles of Werewolf Ben but I'm having a hard timing coming up with a pinup for him. Maybe another time! But probably not for the holiday, sadly. He's just a bigger, fluffier version of himself. I'd love to play with the idea in the future :D

Change some minor things from the sketch to the inks/color. Forgot his shirt for a while more until I finished the inks round 1 so the flats look even slightly different from that. Sometimes I can get so into drawing the comic as a whole that I can miss little details like that for a few rounds of WIP before realizing what happened, haha. I think it can be fun to see the mistakes, though!

Getting used to drawing butts and BJs again! In this fantasy scenario he can imagine as big a dick as he wants, but only has to deal with 2 fingers IRL. I think that's a good trade. I also realized I didn't draw his shirt in here on the top panel so I have to fix that whoops.

And there goes the face from the sketch. Replaced with something nice and shiny though! Definitely not used to drawing dragons but I'm having a ton of fun with this guy and I think Avery is feeling the same :D

The dick there isn't going to be see through but I wanted to leave it that way because I thought Avery's face behind it was sort of worth looking at. Sometimes I draw a whole face and then immediately cover it up with something. Such is life.

More blue, lots of blue! I wanted there to be a nice contrast between the 'fantasy' and reality parts of the comic since they are going to switch a fair bit, usually on the same page where the characters will be doing different actions. Swapping warm and cool tones seemed like a good idea.

Is he in an ice cave? I hope not, because he doesn't have an clothes on :(

Page 3 sketch! Some folks asked to see a more rough sketch stage so I did my best to keep that intact for this one.

Normally what I do is blow up the thumbnail, then scribble over it for a while before I am happy with the idea of the poses. Then I spend a few hours refining the sketch to where I feel comfy inking. Not a lot between the two other than 1) time and 2) redrawing faces over and over and over. Hopefully the rougher shapes and expressions or sort of interesting :D

Why is he like this? Why are ANY of us like this? Avery asks the real existential questions we all want the answers to. We may never know if THIS is the page Terry was thinking of when he gave Avery the book but he's usually pretty good at guessing.

This page took me a pretty long time to set up. Normally flats and inks take me about a day to so but this was more of a 2-3 day affair. Par for the course, though. The first page always takes a bit longer than the rest because I'm figuring out color direction. Pretty much any time I change a scene to somewhere else it takes me a ton of time to figure out how I want to color it. Every other page after is usually a little more streamline.

The small panels at the bottom were actually the trickiest even though in the end they will be mostly covered with text. Whoops. I referenced a particular college campus I used to live near for the outdoor hallway.

I also threw in some early stages right after the inks in case people were interested. Originally the bottom panels were going to be at dusk but I wanted to add in the blue so the whole page wouldn't just be red/orange. It's been so long since I've drawn a comic (Safeword ended in 2017, wow) that I wanted to get back into it with a short one-off. This comic will be about 15 pages long and is about Avery, a buff Dragon, and a pretty vivid imagination. I don't have a name for it yet at all BUT the comic is M/M (teeeechnically M-Solo but hey!). I'm using this to stretch my comic making muscles again and figure out how intense I want to go with how I handle the art so I hope you all like it!

Added a few WIPs sketches and concepts I've been going over during the week. Some sketches of what I think I want the dragon-dude to look like and thumbnails of where I'd like the comic to do. Thumbnails usually change pretty heavily when I actually start clean sketching the comic, but they are a great roadmap for where I'd like to head and keep me on track.

I also finally did a really simple 3D render of Avery's apartment. I wanted to make something I could use for a lot of shots, and even more in the future. I'm also working on one for Terry and hopefully Sandra/Ben's downstairs as well. These simple renders help me figure out where things are placed, how big they are, and give me a good camera to snap hard angles at to try and keep things consistent. I don't think I've shared any of them before because, frankly, they are SUPER simple and messy but I figured you all might be interested :'D

Some fun facts:

- Avery's apartment is on the upper floor of an old brick building in a downtown area (I accidentally put a window where it shouldn't be by the table, but that's where a hallway is)

- The best feature is a huge iron-framed window in the studio area and having a washer dryer

- Most of the space is taken up by clothing and soft blankets/books. He has a few small plants but they are mostly succulents because those are easy to take care of. The plant in his kitchen is the only non-succulent still clinging to life. Avery insists he doesn't know WHY he's bad at keeping plants, though it's just obvious to anyone who comes over that he simply forgets to water them.

- He has two nightstands and a California King bed because it makes it easier to have guests stay the night.

- It smells good almost all the time since, if Avery is home, a candle is lit somewhere.

- He doesn't eat much takeout other than coffee/drinks and prefers to cook small meals himself or for guests the morning after. He's not a 5 star chef but he won't burn the toast... most of the time.

Sketching it out! Poor Terry just appears in 2-3 pages in this really short 15ish page comic but he gets some cute excited conversation to make up for it (which you'll get to see soooon). I like drawing small BFF interactions with them.

Also yeah, Avery has a huge window (with no curtains drawn, pencil or otherwise) and isn't wearing any pants in bed. He has them laying around somewhere and just hasn't put them up for reasons unknown.

No idea if I'll do anything with these but thought it would be a fun series of doodles to share! Might finish them up at some point as stand alone things with little dialogue might be cute :3 this was just something for fun in my spare time.

Aaaaand flats for these guys! Lots of purple and pink but since I did the first two I have a pretty solid idea of how to work with these ones finally :3

I don't think I sketched them on the first two since I didn't think of it until later but I started trying to draw in some vague background faces. Unfortunately they get blurred out a little later but it makes the background so much easier to shade vs. flat shapes.

The anonymous character here was supposed to be lifting Avery up, but I made all the background characters tall so HEY they're kneeling instead. Hopefully they don't drop Avery in the heat of the moment (uh oh). In the meantime other folks seem to be getting a little bit rowdy waiting on their turn.

There are about 5 images in this series, give or take, and this is definitely the cleanest one of the batch. I hope everyone enjoys a little purple and pink. Chugging along working on that 5 image vignette series with Avery. Got the first two inked and flat colored and the others as being sketched up as we speak! I'm really going in with the purple pink which is turning out to be a heck of a time to shade.

- The Avery Terry piece is slowly coming along too. I'm contemplating on using it for a cover to a story I'd like to write later on, but it's mainly an idea I just wanted to jot down of the two of them hanging out.

Hey everyone! Lots of sketching is being done right now on some ideas I wanted to put on 'paper'. First are two cleaner sketches from a vignette series I wanted to do with Avery of him having some exhibition fun in a club setting. I also added the thumbnails I did because I thought people might like to see that (and see where the 5 parter is headed). I also wanted to do some solo Sandra images, there are probably more of these coming too! I'm enjoying drawing both of these characters, I might have to put them in some images together in the future :3

I've had both these characters for years and years and never actually got around to making them references. I wanted to change that this month, and hopefully have something going forward so I stop drawing them differently each time! I also wanted to build their personalities a little more since I plan on using these characters a bit moving forward. It was definitely a fun exercise to try and put down what I had in my head.

I uploaded both the smaller refs and the super extra bonus refs with flavor information on the bottom. I like both versions so hopefully you all can enjoy them too! Thanks for taking a look :D

You know I never had a reference for any of my characters other than some basic front views? Did you know every time I wanted to color my characters I would have to look at 2-3 images I drew and try to piece together what their designs actually were? Did you know I am pretty bad at drawing things super consistently? Well, I wanted to change that, haha. Let's see how it goes!

I also wanted to get the hang of drawing these two again, since I would like to do some future things with them. I'd ultimately like to get more into character and world-building in my comics. Maybe have some silly/sexy one-offs. I've been anxious about starting comics up again for the last few years so I'm going to be going a bit slow. Hopefully everyone enjoys the small little facts I'll be throwing on these refs eventually :>

I honestly expected to only get 1 done in time for BLFC, which was originally this weekend, but with all the cancellations I was able to really take my time and work through these guys. While the cons being cancelled sucks (even if for the best) I was happy to be able to finish up all three and have a complete set of 8 to have at cons moving forward in the future. Definitely something I've been wanting to do for a long time!

Due to a few comments on the last post about this particular daki I added the cuffs to the front half rather than only having them on the back. After thinking it over I think it works a bit better having it be consistent. A minor change though! Overall this one actually took me the longest to complete, even though it seems the simplest (to me, anyway!).

The Pre-Orders for this and the other dakis has ended! But they will be up in my Gumroad store staring sometimes in July after all Pre-Orders have been shipped.

I worked on finalizing the NSFW Sandra Daki this week (with Ben on his way soon!) and I'm overall super happy with how it came out. I also realized I drew the harness on a separate layer from everything else so I thought it would be fun to show both with and without it on since I think they look pretty neat!

Unfortunately, when pre orders come in May I won't be offering both styles since it would cost a bit too much money. So the original harness version is what I'm going with. I think it keeps a bit in theme with the other 3 NSFW ones since they all have at least 1 'sexy' clothing element :3

That said I want to make a little note on updates:

This month has been taking a little longer than other months as far as workflow so there will most likely only be 2-3 paid updates rather than the 4 I previously aimed for in the past.

Overall I'm trying to be a kinder to myself on Patreon going forward so I don't burn out like I have in the past. While updates will always max at 4 per month there will be many months going forward that will see 1-3 paid completed posts rather than 4. Regardless of what I can finish I'll always post as many WIPs as I can which will always be free for $2+ patrons!

Going forward: I really want to start working towards another larger project soon. I've been sitting on it for quite a few years at this rate and would love to start hammering it out proper. These months are bit of a warm up for me to get back into a flow and I would like to do at least one more vignette series and a pinup or two if possible! There is a lot jumbled around in my head as far as what I want to do with familiar characters, new characters I want to make, pinups I want to draw, and stories I want to tell. I really appreciate the support you all give as I get back into the groove!

A few WIP for what you're going to see finished up this month! Focusing on two NSFW dakis to round out the full line by May. Ben and Sandra this time, I figured I'd do them both at once to make them a little more stylistically similar than before.

I also started sketching the 'winner' of the R34 poll I created last month. It's always interesting trying to take a character from a style that's so different from my own and try and translate them without losing what makes the character special. Please ignore my absolutely terrible handwriting in place of actual text. I may be an artist but my letters are totally chicken scratch :C

As for the pre-orders and sales of this daki it won't be for a little bit. Since I am not attending any cons until October I wanted to try and get a few different dakis done to have up before making a new order with my supplier and have them all at once. I also want to give them a bit of time to recover from recent events. There will definitely be a pre-order post when that happens! I will do my best to keep everyone updated with that. My plan is to try and have it around the weekend BLFC would have normally been as a special-sort-of-con online sale.

I'm hoping to have these sides done soon and also start work on a Sandra NSFW one as well. For now have the small, shy, nerdy shiba we all know and love. I really enjoy the color scheme of this one and throwing in some background elements. I don't put them in many of my dakis and I really should. It's also always fun to make little updates to characters when you haven't drawn them in a little while. He's definitely gotten slightly more tummy than his last appearance on a daki :3

Since it's been a few days since the call for suggestions I thought of throwing up a poll with a few of my favorite ideas from those patreon's threw out there. It's not all of them but I figured this would be a good list to start with. Feel free to vote for more than one! I'm super interested to see who folks will prefer :D

I've been waffling forever since I very rarely draw R34 content, but if I WERE -hinthint- what would people here like to see? I've done my two favorite boys: McCree and Leon but I'm sure there are more characters folks would like to see. I'd love to know what people think would look cool in my style and maybe make a poll with some suggestions. It's not something I've done before so I wanted to give it a whirl.

If you have a suggestion of a well-known character (preferably a furry character OR a character I could easily turn into a furry from a movie/show/game/etc) leave them here! Feel free to suggest the same character as someone else. I'll make a poll eventually with the ones I'm most interested in and see if I can't make a pinup of the top choice :D

- And FINALLY the front/back views for the NSFW Terry dakimakura. I'm super pleased with how he came out here and it's something I've wanted to work on for a while. It was a little tricky for me deciding how I wanted to draw him but I think this conveys everything I wanted in his version of the more adult rated ones :>

I had a ton of fun doing the Avery one a few years ago and I'd like to carry that over to my other daki designs.

While I will eventually be doing all of them (hoping for 2 before BLFC, but that's at the mercy of time-crunch) I'd like to know which one everyone is most excited for. It might even tempt me towards which one I prioritize before BLFC, but we shall see!

I had fun making these tiny little chibi versions of each of the characters. I had it in my head I really wanted to do a run of enamel pins / stickers for 2020 and I'm really happy they ended up coming out so nice. Hey everyone! Long time no post, and hoping to change that around in 2020. I've wanted to get back into the NSFW groove forever, but with a ton of moves, live changes, etc it was really hard. I'm finally settled in a place where I feel I can work and I'm really excited to breathe life into this Patreon again!

I figured I'd kick things off for Feb with a new series of vignettes I've been wanting to draw and experiment around with since October (Spooky!). This image series is going to be about 4-6 long and detail a magic spell gone incredibly right. Sandra found an old book in the back area of a used bookstore and wanted to try it out. Ben is always willing to help, even if the results are surprising! Hang in there buddy.

There is a bit going on in part 2 I'm going to work with, mostly I made his mane pretty FLOOF and I have to remember to tone that down. That's what I get for drawing Hyenas forever after the last time I drew Ben, haha. Also experimenting with editing these posts VS. always posting a new one for each sketch. I think it's nicer to have them all in one place if they are a mini-series.

Finished up this bad boy today for those who could see the WIP sketches here. For those who couldn't, enjoy this polished up babe! This was probably the most fun I've had with a daki in a while and it was nice to get back to doing something I had personal investment in as a fan.

Finished up the inking and flat colors today!

I like the slightly less colorful, more earthy tone it's taking on. I also realized that, with Leon being a G-Shep and McCree being a Coyote I might have a preference for drawing tan dogs (and characters voiced by Matt Mercer).

Long time no upload! I'm finally working on something that has a place here so I wanted to throw it up so folks had something new to look at. Life has been busy and I am trying to get back into the swing of more personal art.

Working on this new and very long-overdue daki design I've had in my head forever. I've been wanting to draw this daki ever since I did the McCree one a few years ago and I finally got around to starting it last week. I don't do a lot of fanart that is more R34 or less safe for work, but dakis are a good way for me to make big pinups when I do. Not sure if I'm going to make an alternate version of this yet or not, if I do it might just be for fun rather than print.

Leon is one of my favorite videogame characters of all time and I couldn't not make him a German Shepard. I waffled between doing his RE2 outfit vs. RE4 but settled on RE4 because I think it's just a bit more fun. I also wanted to go with a bit more of a dom/sub front and back because in my personal headcanon he's a big ole' switch. Hopefully you all like it too!

Hey everyone! I finally have everything settled and the first printing of the dakis went super well. The fabric is REALLY soft and super cuddly and I couldn't be more happy with how they came out!

Since I'm pretty confident in the printing now I wanted to make a post here and give Patrons first dibs on the new NSFW design who may not have a chance to go to Further Confusion next week (where I'll have the first round in limited quantities). Hey! Long time no post. This is the first thing I've gotten around to in a while involving the characters I use on this Patreon. I thought it would be worth it to share since I haven't put anything here in a heck of a time (I'm still alive, I promise! Just very busy IRL)

Avery is my oldest daki. The art on his pillowcase is over 5 years old! It's ridiculous how time goes by. As such I wanted to redo the art on his since it was in some desperate need of updating to be up to par with the others.

While I was at it I also wanted to try my hand at a NSFW version. I don't usually do NSFW versions of my characters for these but I sketched out a slightly different pose for the front and it just sort of went from there. I thought it might be a cute variation on his pillow and a nice celebration of having this character around since the beginning.

Hopefully the process of updating older art is interesting to some people here. Either way please enjoy these rough sketches!

Finished this up last night! Two boys enjoying a fun day out. Terry is usually pretty shy but having someone like Avery around (who is certainly not) can help bring him out of his shell.

This is one of the pieces from a 50illustration story that will be debuting in the new issue of Heat at Anthrocon this year. The erotic story (not written by me, only illustrated) follows the adventures of a space smuggler fox, and a wolf who is far more mysterious that he seems.

Long time no post! Finally got done with the huge move I was in the middle of and have time to sit down and draw. A lot of people requested some pinups of Terry and I wanted to make one along the same lines as the last Avery pinup with multiple versions. Here is a rough WIP of how that's going. Looks like someone failed their dexterity checks.

A fairly 'censored' WIP update of the Avery pinup I've been working on. One of the several versions of this image that will be completed, hopefully within the next week (Hint: The other versions are even more NSFW).

I promised a news post this month, so here it is. A few important things below about this Patreon and what the immediate future is going to hold. Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop!

The Good News:
Safeword is complete! During the month of November I will be working on editing the comic for physical sale (Yes, that means there will be actual paper copies!) as well as for a nice clean PDF for the $5+ folks here. This is the longest comic I have made to date, so it may take a while to get through all the pages but I'm really excited to finally wrap this one up after so long.

The Bad (ish) News:
Last week I had a surgery that will complicate my ability to draw for long periods of time for about 4-6 weeks. On top of that, with convention prep for next year as well as preparing for a large move / life event I most likely will not be able to share content as consistently as I usually would on this platform.

That said: This Patreon wont be dead or anything, but things will change up a tiny bit. When I do make updates here they will be pinups, suggestions, one-offs, or other smaller pieces until things even out a bit more for me IRL. While I do have another long comic planned it doesn't look like I will be able to get to it for a good few months, at least if not a year. I have used this Patreon to consistently create comics since the beginning, so I understand if this hiatus from them will be a deterrent for some people. There will most likely not be any paid updates for October regardless of these events as I have to wrap up some other projects that need attention.

My Patreon will always remain on a per-complete-work payment schedule. This means that now and forever you will only be charged if I complete content. The content might just come at a slower pace for a bit. I appreciate all the support everyone here has given me over the last few years. You have no idea how much it means to me and has helped me! I hope I can keep making stuff that you guys enjoy, even if the pace is less than even for the next little bit.

I wanted to make a little new update since I haven't in a while.

Update Blips: This month (Jan) there will only be about 2-3 comic posts rather than 4 as I get ready for, and table at FurtherConfusion. The month after (Feb) I will be off for surgery and potentially wont be able to work on the comic during my recovery period. There may be 2 updates, there may be none. It all depends on how things go! Aside from those two things, normal posting should resume in March. Once this current comic finishes up (about 15-20 more pages it looks like.) I have a few plans in the works, and I can't wait to show them off :D

$400 Raffle Reward: Last month the estimated donations reached the $400 mark, which is great! Unfortunately, that number always pulls down when actual payments start rolling in. I have my fingers crossed that we'll still be up by the end of the week, if so I will start the sketch raffle reward for all folks currently pledging to this Patreon! I estimate that if we don't hit the reward this month it will probably happen in Feb. That number has been slowly climbing for the last year and I am beyond thankful to how many folks appreciate my stuff.

So I completely messed up forgetting this was a holiday weekend, so I wanted to post an update on the schedule of things:

I wanted to share a little WIP with the $2+ folks since there has been such a break between the last page and now. I usually work on 3 pages at once as far as sketching goes. It helps keep me a LITTLE consistent. These are all rough pages that I'll rest on for a day after sketching so I can come back fresh and make edits. I already know some expressions will be changing a bit and poses tweeked but that's for later! Super naughty/secret things blurred out very badly.... for now :3....

Hey guys! I wanted to post a little check up for mid-month as far as rewards and comic pages are going.

- The patreon raffle drawing will take place the 20th

- I have had some hiccups since getting back from BLFC so the next page will be delayed until next week. To make up for it I will try to make the week a double post week with some WIP and so forth!

- The PSD pack will come out the 31st of the month to all paid $5+ patrons. They've been a little slim these last two months but the busy back-and-forth time I've been experiencing that whole time is just about over. I really appreciate the support!

Technically the first page but I will leave this unpaid due to it only being a big-ole black box.

The comic will begin its more colorful pages starting next week and we will move forward from there. Thank you all for the patience! This one will initially start slow and may have some scattered updates but I hope to really have it going after the lumps are ironed out :3

For reference this comic will Feature: Ben + Sandra, M/F, Experimental Dom/Sub. light bondage situations and lots of femdom. Page count estimate is close to what Critical Success was, I'll have a more accurate idea the more I get going :D

This month will be a bit slow. Due to unforeseen projects outside of Patreon the new-new comic, while being worked on, probably wont start updating until near the end of the month. This means march will be a bit slow (but cheap!) for you guys, and I want to apologize for that. The transition from one comic to another is always a bit awkward every year ;;

- Critical Success PDF: I will be sending the download link to all paid-up $5 patrons after I post this message. The file will be a PDF in a .zip format and be available until the end of the month.

- PSD Pack: I will try and scrape together some of the files for this month, but this will probably be delayed until closer to the end of the month.

- Raffle Winners: Both winners will be chosen on the 18th of the month

Since I am working on getting some buffer pages up I thought I would show some progress on how I work with pages for the crowd that may not get my PSD packs. I don't want to be TOO silent for the next few weeks.

Here is a WIP page from rough thumbnail/idea to flat colors!

I'm still working with the flats for this one. Not 100% happy with the background colors yet. I am not super comfy working with paler, more toned down palettes so it's going a bit slow for now. Usually I find my color groove after working through 3-4 pages and seeing them all laid out.

This one will be taking a little more time than the last because I am also working in tandem with other, outside projects. It will be a nice exercise in multitasking ovo

EDIT: also working on putting together the PDF version of CS for $5 tier members. Once they are all paid up next month I will be sending them out!

These two are surprisingly challenging for me to draw so the next comic should be decent practice, haha.

Final page all done! Thus ends this comic. That one took me almost a whole year of work and I learned a whole lot doing it. I hope my next one can be as good an experience!

As per last time there will be a few weeks delay between this comic and posting the next one to give me time to get things together. This will be the last paid update for the month of February. Back to work!

Throwing around some rough ideas for my next comic that I'm going to start thumbnailing this week. This was an extra small little sketch I had laying around I thought might be cool to share here :3

Despite not QUITE getting enough for meet the personal goal this month (about $220 shy in total) BUT....I decided to do the drawing as I would anyway since the goal itself has been hit! The new algorithm makes goals a little trickier but I want to keep honest with my front page :D

- First name is from the new goal tier of a sketch raffle for all patrons (as long as the goal stays over $400 per post)

- Second name is from the old Reward Tier that I removed back in November

Some news for this month: Since this comic is wrapping up there may be a week or two (maybe even 3, I hope not 3!) without any updates while I get some work together and everything ready to start posting a new comic. So if you see that there are a few skipped updates, no worries. You wont be charged for the lack of work, the gaps between comics are a big reason I set this patreon up to be per-post and not per month or week. Low stress for everyone!

That said: unfortunately this month there average payments dropped below the estimated $400 goal mark (by less than $1 too ;^; ). The good news is that if we keep this up next month should see the goal of a sketch raffle for ALL patrons become a reality! Hopefully a new comic can get people super excited :D. The next one is gonna be a bit of a classic: 'quick n' dirty.'

Some rough sketches I worked on today to practice the shape of some of my faces. Used Ben as the subject. I thought it would be cool to show the steps I go through from reference to more stylized. Hope it gives some insight!

1) Gather reference photos - I usually try and use different angles of the face that I know I'll be drawing a lot of in a comic or illustration.

2) Trace-over - I break down the face into simple lines and shapes by tracing over the photo reference quickly.

3) Free-hand - I then use the trace over as a reference and practice free drawing it myself to get used to drawing the angles and proportions. This usually the hardest step for me as it brings to light my own struggles with observation. This is the part that I find to be the BEST practice.

4) Sketch-over - I draw over the free hand drawing I did with my own style, trying to keep things all in order using the under-drawing as a guide. This part is the most fun because I can kinda get looser and sillier with the work.

5) Final - add the flair of the character (such as extra hair, piercings, extra eyebrow, etc). Sometimes I edit the proportions manually here to make them a little more human-like but overall try and keep things close to the other drawings. Here I made Ben's jaw a little fatter than the references I used since he's not supposed to be super slim.

These are more detailed than I would usually make my comics (which need to be drawn a little bit simpler to keep me sane!) but it's good practice in adding things to the characters I normally wouldn't. It's also fun going off model sometimes, even if off model is actually closer to the real animal they're based on. I also learned some new things from this, especially about how I'd like to draw his hair in the future. Altogether a fun practice session :D I want to try this with my other characters as well!

Hey all!

So recently Patreon has done a pretty cool thing and edited the way they show pledge amounts on artist front pages. This means that the number more accurately shows how much money I am actually getting, rather than a number inflated by patreon's cut, deleted + declined pledges, & credit card fees.

What does this mean:

Not a whole lot BUT, It does mean I can set the goal amounts lower than they were before. Having to account for deleted pledges and so on myself were why I had to inflate the goals by about $100 or more. The number was reaaaallly not very accurate! (As you can see, my pledge number has dropped from about $460 to $360 after it all. That's a huge gap!) So there should be some edits to those in a few days :D

Other news:

PSD packs are on schedule to be sent out next week. I have decided to start doing the ex-raffle alerts in private (no advertisement for the winner) until the goal of sketch-for-everyone is met. I think it will keep my page a little cleaner since there are only a few people left in the old pool!

Other than that it's just going to be me working along to finish this comic. It's nearly done! (whoah!) Which means I have to work on a new one soon. More details on that later ;3

Back from MFF so it's time for another update! Less than 10 pages from the end now :D trucking on through!

Okay! One last news post for this month (I know, September has been hectic!). I promise this is a quickie.

Due to the 2 weeks I will be out of town I will be posting 2 paid updates this week and 2 paid updates during the week of the 12th. During the time between the 25th-12th there will be no other updates beyond text posts as I wont have a proper computer with me. Everything after the 12th will proceed as normal again.

I wanted to make a quick note: those who were still in the tiers when they were deleted have been default set to "No Reward" by Patreon. If you still want to pledge the same amount of money I suggest just going back in and selecting the $5 tier even if you are pledging a bit more. Even if you want to give a little less, or select a different reward I still recommend checking up on that! I just wanted to let you guys know so you were aware. I had no idea what Patreon would default to when I deleted them and now we know!

It should work that the only difference is now you have to click on a page rather than getting it all big in your emails. Hopefully this should help some people who would like to view their patreons wherever rather than just in private!

Thursday Update! Thanks for the support :D

Hey guys! Today I have some, not too great but not… SUPER HORRIBLE changes to share. These changes will be regarding my Tiers and Goals section on the front page and were decisions I came to after emailing with Patreon Staff and looking over my calendar for the next few months.

Due to trying to both comply with Patreon's TOS a little better AND deal with more IRL time constraints I will be changing the reward tiers and goals from next month onward.

What does this mean?

• The good news: the $1-$5 tiers will not change. Those will still stay the same "view comic, get PSDs, see sketches, and ask questions" they always were. This means that most of you wont really be affected by this change!

• Now the bad news: $10 and $15 tiers will be eliminated completely for the future.

• $10 : As much as I love the idea of sending people physical items, I have realized that my supplies and time have been running lower than normal. It is also a tier that had a very small cap that I had been flip-flopping with to begin with and kind of put a plug on things. Thus, I am going to be removing this tier. Patrons who have paid for this reward will still receive their mail for this month (and potentially next month since there will be 2 pledges before it's gone)! But after October this will be no more.
  

• $15: Patreon still considers this tier gambling and so I will be removing it to comply with their TOS more fully

• For anyone in the $15 tier who paid: You WILL receive a sketch. I will still be pulling from your names from my spreadsheet every month until everyone on it has received one. Basically the drawings will be the same as normal (one to three per month) until everyone who has paid has received one sketch, as promised! How do you know if you are on the spreadsheet? If you have pledged to the $15 tier and did not win this month (september), you are on the spreadsheet and entitled to a sketch! The only difference is that the tier will be removed from the rewards section and no new pledges to it will be accepted.

Goals
Instead of having a paid-for reward tiers like the above I will be turning them into Freebies for meeting Goals instead.

• At $500 per page I will hold a drawing every month that includes EVERY paid patron for free. This will both open the doors for everyone to get a sketch while not making anyone gamble. I still want to draw some custom things for you guys, I just want to make sure it's not getting the site in trouble!

• At $750 I will hold a secondary drawings for mailed merchandise. I will hold these drawings after conventions I attend ( about 4 times a year) to give people a chance at some free leftover-stock swag! This will also include every patron for free and may have multiple prizes given based on how much leftover merchandise I have.

• At $1000 a page the sketch drawing will change into a full color pinup. I really doubt I will get at high as this, but I think that deserves an extra cool bonus for you guys.

To give ample time for folks to see this these changes will be taking place 1 Week from today: 09/16/2015

For safety of rewards if you are in the $10-$15 tiers at the moment I would change your tier down to the next highest one you would like to pledge at between the $1-$5 levels. I have screenshots of who is currently paid up in the tiers for $10-$15 rewards so feel free to move around! I completely understand the lowering or even cancelling of pledges due to these changes. I will always be grateful that you would pledge in the first place! You guys have definitely pulled me through some rough stuff and these comics would not be possible without the encouragement. I am truly sorry to have to delete these extra rewards, but hopefully I can make it up to you with the Goals and we can still have some fun along the way!

This month has been kind of rough on me for a few things. There will be a large post coming soon about some big changes to the tier & goal system I have in place right now. (Nothing that will affect the folks who have already paid for them this month! Also no changes to the frequency of Comics, PSDs, Asks, or WIPs)

After a year it is time for me to reevaluate my system as well as some TOS compliance. I want to find ways to respect both Patreon and my Patrons more fully and offer some more options. I'll let you guys know the full dealio after talking to the staff on this site a little more! As always I really love the support and I cannot thank you guys enough for all that you've given me over the year. I want to make this system the best it can be for everyone involved!

During this time I will try my best to upload things but I wont know what my internet or time situation will look like during those weeks. As always you wont have to pay if I don't upload anything! I am trying to work my hardest between now and then to get some pages out. Rewards will also be sent out before I leave.

The Elephant In the Room: It was going to come up sooner or later, I guess. Bots! You may all know that there are bots and false accounts sweeping Patreon. I have known about this for a while BUT, since my comic is posted for free anyway I turned a blind eye to it. I want to create more freely! Not deny people access to my art. Currently though, there are so many false pledges that it is significantly inflating my per-upload number (by nearly $200 a post, currently). I usually wait until payments go through to remove pledges but I am now going to add a new rule.

*If a new account pledges to my patreon that looks suspicious I will be deleting it right away.*

What makes an account suspicious? Generally 2+ things being true will send up a red flag for me for NEW pledges:

- Following a ton of accounts all at once with no 'good' status on any of them OR only following me

- Pledging to the highest tier of all accounts watched (again, with no 'good' status)

- A name-number combination with an unsearchable or newly created hotmail/gmail/yahoo account

- No icon or profile information

*This rule will be in place until Patreon implements a better system for catching bots*

I used to only remove people at the end of each month who popped up as declined or deleted pledges, but now it's gotten to an extreme point (I suspect I have about 15 bots this month).

Due to this: If you are a NEW pledge and feel your account was deleted in error please send me a PM. I will be more than happy to add human beings!

Terry is really nervous about answering questions. As such, you'll probably have to excuse his inability to actually understand them right away.

Thursday update! Fun fact: This while thing was originally only going to be a 10-11 page silly mini-comic without much dialogue at all. As you can see.... it's now beyond double that so clearly I don't know when to stop!

Updated Terry's reference from months ago since I changed his design a fair bit. I wanted to make him look more like a shiba inu. The main things I edited were his face/shoulder markings and gave his hair a little touch up. Bonus rainbow beach shirt for funsies.

He also used to have a Paragon tattoo on his hip but I decided to remove that and just have his fur be fur. The paperdoll version of this ref sheet will be available in the August PSD pack :3

Woo, update after all that break. Going to have to start picking it up a bit on this comic if I want to have it done on time (I went back and edited the thumbnails for everything last night and it's looking to be a whopping 50 pages to cram everything I'd like to show in!). Hey all!

Just wanted to make a quick update for the July schedule of events.

I will be off on an adventure to Anthrocon starting next week and going through the 17th. There is a very high chance that this month will only be a 2-3 paid update month due to that trip. I was definitely buried with only a few weeks of preparation.

That said I will be doing both $10 mail-in rewards and the PSD pack the week of the 20th. I will also be doing the drawing for the $15 patrons that week. Next month should actually revert back to the normal schedule until December if everything treats me well. Con season is just a little hectic!

I hope to see a few of you at Anthrocon this month, regardless! It's been one of my favorite cons for many years and I am definitely looking forward to meeting a few people. Thanks so much for your support, guys!

A little freebie I wanted to share with everyone. Two new Daki designs I made and will have with me at AC2015 (and possibly online after!) I had a ton of fun making these to go in a trio with my Avery pillow. I really hope other people enjoy them as well!

So it seems like something is majorly wrong with Patreon right now in regards to charges/declines etc.

This is just a note to everyone who has pledged to not touch them right yet if they are getting errors or declines. I have been getting really conflicting information on exactly what is happening (some people say you need to retry / reset declines pledges, some are saying NOT to do that because you will be double charged... etc) so just waiting it out until they sort it seems to be the best plan of action.

Patreon isn't exactly the BEST at making their news as easy to access as possible but I will see what I can find out. Right now all I have to go on is a vague tweet they posted about payments being an 'issue'.

Welcome to June everyone! Time for a monthly news post so everyone is on the same page :D

- Tier Rewards: PSD Packs, Raffle, and Mail-Out rewards will all be done on-time during mid-month (enough time for people to get their payments sorted). No real surprises there!

- Asks: As you may have noticed, asks haven't been appearing as often. This is due to me being in extreme convention prep mode. Right now Asks are taking a bit of a back seat to the time sink that is...... well, everything else! They will definitely be popping up more frequently in late July.

Speaking of...

- July: There will be a 2 week gap where comics (may) not be posted as I will be off on a cross-country adventure to Boston/AC. With that said, and as mentioned in the asks section, this month is absolutely filled to the brim with projects. I will be moving the updates to Thursday rather than Wednesday in order to give myself a little bit of a time buffer. July will be another slightly-late month for rewards. Similar to May.

August - October will be a breath of fresh air as I leave convention season, luckily. It will also be a celebration of 1 year on Patreon! So loads of things to be happy about.

Due to convention setup and prep this month (BLFC, for those attending!) Most of the rewards will be handled near the end of the month rather than the beginning.

It's APRIL and that means a news post to keep everyone up to date with what I'm working on.

- Comic Pages: I am diligently working on pages 4+5 to try and get them done before I am out of town from the 9th-16th -flexes- I'd like to finally get back on track with my weekly updates this month.
- PSD Pack: I am also working on getting the newest PSD pack out to the $5+ patrons this week. It will be a bit smaller than normal due to tablet issues so I apologize in advance! I will try to keep it neat, though.
- Mail Doodles: these rewards for the $10 patrons will be going out the 17th this month. Nothing super new there!
- Sketch Drawing: the drawing for the next $15+ sketch winner (EDIT: Has now been pushed back to the 17th due to several pledges not going through. Names will be drawn regardless of payment status on the 17th so get those pledges fixed!)
- Asks: Asks will be resuming the week of the 20th. I apologize for the delay in these. They are the farthest on the backburner after rewards and comic pages since they are a for-fun thing. The questions in the latest post will still all be valid for quite some time, though! So those should make for some interesting mini comics.

Early in the week update because I managed to finish up this page quicker than expected. Staying up late at night really does wonders for getting work done. What mysteries does this strange green water hold??? Thanks for the support!

Edit: This is a re-upload to fix what I thought would be an error too easily misunderstood in the rest of the comic (the DM's hair style was a little too close to Sandra's for my liking.) You should only be charged for this upload! Both files appear as a zip in the attachments for fun comparisons.

Got my tablet back today and the repairs seem to have helped. Hopefully I wont run into the same charging problem again. I will be working on catching up with my current workload and then updating the comic. It should resume again in April (or if I am really diligent, early next week!). I am really excited to announce a project I've been working on for the last few weeks. An Avery Dakimakura! You might have seen some designs like these floating around the net. They are basically huggable body pillows (but they also double as some pretty cute pinups, in my opinion!) I will be printing out a small run of these to sell at conventions in the future to see if they do well. If so I will probably be making some more designs.

You can use the attachment to download some higher res, separated files. Thanks for the support! Without you guys I couldn't work on these fun projects and I really appreciate it.

Wednesday Update with page 2! Thanks for the support guys! Had a lot of fun working on the background for this one. It was originally supposed to be mostly cropped with a white border but I decided against that because I thought the atmosphere would be neater.

Update: The Tablet should be fixed within 14 days according to Wacom. Fingers crossed!

This, sadly means I will not be able to make Asks or custom rewards until April. So everything will carry over (there will still be another raffle drawing in April, regardless!)

I have some bad news to share with you guys. Last night my tablet that I use for all my digital work encountered a problem and can no longer charge. Due to this I will have to send it in for repairs. These repairs could take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, during which time I will not be able to product any digital art.

There will be a comic upload this week and the next but after that there will be delays on everything digital including: pages, asks, reward sketches (the mail-ins will still be on track, though!). At the moment I can't make an estimate on how long the delays will be but I will try my best to keep you guys up to date. I am hoping delays will last no more than a week.

Hey all! Been working on getting my new short comic into shape and I finally have a cover for you all to look at :D. I will be working my butt off to get the updates on this out over the next few months. This comic will feature Male x Goopy 'monsters' and a very lighthearted script based loosely around a Dungeons and Dragons concept. I am aiming for 15-20 pages for this one based on my thumbnails. Hello All! Some news updates for the Month of February!

- I'll be working on the next comic throughout the month (thanks to patreon I have secured 2 days a week I can solidly work on bringing it to life!)
-There will probably be very scattered updates this month. I will try and promise at least 1 paid update, if not the usual 3-4. This Feb is a real catch-up month for me.
- I will be trying to make some of those updates be pinups from the suggestion box. Time willing!
- $10 patrons from last month please check your PMs here for a special event! I sent out some already but I want everyone to be aware of the PM before I mail stuff out! If PMs aren't answered by next Friday I will just be mailing out regular rewards.

Hey guys! I wanted to share with you some news for this month so we can all be on the same page. I've been away for the last 2 weeks so I wanted to play some catch-up :D

- I will be doing the drawing for the $15 sketch tier this Friday (9th) as usual. Please make sure your payments go through if you are in their tier!
- Any prize drawings and tiered rewards will then be completed after the week of the 14th (due to me preparing for and attending FurtherConfusion 2015. This includes mailed-out doodles, PSD files and sketches)
- Asks will resume on the 19th and there will be 2 for this month.

Everything should be resuming on its normal schedule for a fair bit (at least until April). As Excalibur is almost complete this means a new comic is going to start being worked on pretty soon! The schedule for paid posts to this account will lessen during this downtime but I will still try and do some asks and WIPS to keep you guys interested.

Avery shares some Yuletide memories

There are several declined payments this month in the $10 - $15 categories. Due to this, I will be extending the raffle drawing to Wednesday of next week and the Holiday Art offer (which you can find below) to the same time. This is to give patrons a chance to claim their rewards. If they are not paid by next Wednesday they will have to be skipped!

I haven't shared a WIP in a fair while (due to most of the pages up until now being in various stages). I figured it was time to show a second stage rough sketch. This is the stage where shapes start to look like something and right before I clean sketch and ink. This page was not in the original thumbnails and was added on later to make the transition and pacing less choppy between 13 and 15.

For those who pledged for the Mail Doodle or Raffle: there have been several declined pledges this round. I will be choosing a name for the raffle winner this Friday and the doodles will be sent out the following week so please make sure your payment information is up to date so that you can receive your prizes!

Happy November. In October the patreon goal of $200 per update was reached. That means starting this month (and as long as the goal remains met) I will be looking for suggestions to create tutorials to be put here. I haven't made tutorials before so this should be a good learning experience for me as well as you guys. Let me know what you'd like to see in the comments below!

Hey all! This is a question and potential news post for $5+ patrons! I want to rework how I upload PSD files and make them a little more streamline. Being that Patreon is new these thoughts and changes are kind of expected but I wanted to keep everyone on the same page! Thusly: I have considered doing a large pack of PSDs at the beginning of every month instead of a sporadic update once in a while. There was a pack uploaded on Oct 2nd that is a good example of what I'm referring to. These packs would include a variety of items rather than just random comic pages (for example: commissions I've worked on). They would also give you a broader idea of my process since they would include more than just comic pages.

I personally think this could be more rewarding for you guys! But I am open to your ideas about them.

This marks the halfway point of this particular comic. What does that mean? A few people might have noticed that there haven't been too many WIP updates. This comic was initially started before I made this Patreon and I got to about the halfway point with inks. Due to that, there hasn't been too much to post that I couldn't show in a few PSDs. I am now reaching the point where I have pages only just sketched out and I will start saving my progress to show you guys! I'll also be starting on Patreon comic #2 so some concept art will be showing up at some point.

Some other notes: we are also getting close to the pledge amount per-update where I will start taking on ideas for tutorials to post once a month. I am pretty excited to see what tutorials people would like so fingers crossed for that milestone.

On top of that I have added another tier to the pledge area. It is an optional Raffle for a sketch commission, so if that interests you please check it out! Please read the rules carefully so you know what to expect!

After thinking about it for a little bit I want to change the way I do the Q&A posts. Instead of a post every week there will be a master post at the beginning of every month. You will be free to ask questions on that post during the entire month and I will randomly pick one to answer each week. That keeps this area less cluttered and fixes the question carry over issue. A new page for the Wednesday update. These pages will now be updating every week on Wednesday, and remain 2 ahead of the public release.

I'm not sure how interested anyone pledging for WIP is in the thumbnail stage. But I like to show how down-and-dirty rough my art is at the very very beginning. Even now I am still adding / taking away pages to this master sheet. This is the second step after writing the script and one of the hardest (for me).

Hey everyone! The second milestone goal has been reached which means that I will be adding a weekly character Q&A. You may be familiar with them from other artists.. But basically I will make a post at the beginning of the week for Patrons to ask my characters (or me) questions. I will pick one on Wednesday and answer it with some doodles at the end of the week. This event will be going live starting next week and be active as long as a comic is going. Thanks so much for the support guys!

First completed page of my newest comic: Excalibur! Part of a small '20, 10, 5' anthology I am writing featuring several short comics with fantasy puns or themes. This story features Ben and Sandra doing some exciting exploration.
