Hi folks!

In the wake of my computer system failure, and a really jarring blow to my productive rhythm, I’ve decided to take advantage of the system shock to roll out some big changes in both my policies and Patreon management that I’ve needed to institute for some time now. Below is a list of the changes, underneath which is a longer, more detailed look at what each one means:

1. Fewer Priority Commissions Available
2. More Stream Commissions Available
3. Patreon Scheduling
4. Commission Prices
5. Patreon Tiers/Policy Language Changes
6. Payment Methods
7. Tipping Policy
8. Addition of Patreon-Only Streams

Fewer Priority Commissions Available: I currently have 60+ patreons signed up on my $15+ Priority Commission Access tiers. Originally, these were meant to be a guaranteed, high end commission slot for fans with big projects in mind, or for those without the time to attend a normal stream. Now, with so many requests coming in each month, it is no longer feasible for me to attempt to take on even the majority of them. I will be refocusing these commissions to be geared towards high end, complex, ambitious projects and the clients who commission them.

I understand that this may cause some patrons to alter their pledges. I sympathize entirely, and thank you for your support, continued or otherwise.

More Stream Commissions Available: I work best when the idea is fresh in my mind. If I accept a commission from a form, it usually sits in my mind for a week, or lately with my tardiness, a month or more. By that time, no matter how good the idea is, I’m usually daunted by it, anxious, and no longer eager to work on the project. To avoid this, and refocus myself on my favorite way to do quick, fun, public commissions, I’ll be offering more commissions via my public streams, announced on my telegram channel, this patreon, and on twitter. The goal is to achieve about 50% of my commission time spent on Priority Commissions, and 50% spent on stream commissions.

Patreon Scheduling: I am finally reversing a scheduling issue that’s bothered me since the launch of this Patreon format - Patreon-Only Illustrations will now be completed first thing every month, so that nobody feels cheated, and everyone has time to cancel after I post the month’s Illustration. I will be opening for Priority Commissions and working on the month’s Patreon Illustration simultaneously, starting on the business day on, or following closest to the 1st of each month. Then, I will complete the Priority Commissions I accept during that time, leaving the rest of the month for stream commissions.

Commission Prices: I raised my prices last month experimentally. This has had no noticeable effect on my demand, so the pricing changes will remain in effect.

Patreon Tiers/Policy Language Changes: It will take me some time to update all of my TOS, Patreon pages, etc to reflect this post. Please regard this post as official, current policy as of 10/21/2020, and note that any information elsewhere that contradicts the information in this post should be considered incorrect.

Payment Methods: All commissions will be paid for via Paypal Invoices, rather than Paypal.me links.

Tipping Policy: Previously, I had allowed all clients to tip as much as they desired, promising to increase the quality of the work to match their tip. This, unfortunately, has become troublesome, as some particularly generous tips exceeded the value of the commission itself, if not doubling it. Please understand that I accept commissions and schedule time to complete them simultaneously, before payment is completed. Since this doesn’t allow me to account for the need to double, if not triple my time spent on a commission, I will no longer be able to adhere to this policy. From here forward, all tips will be appreciated and will add polish and a bit of extra care and love, according to the value of the tip. However, I will no longer add additional processes to the image (i.e. upgrading a flats-only opening to full color, adding cel shading, or adding a background when none is offered). My openings reflect the time available in my schedule, and allowing customers to order extravagant pieces when my schedule does not have room for them, or they come as a surprise, has landed me in hot water with time management crises on several occasions. As stated above, all payments will be in the form of Paypal Invoices, and a separate field to add a tip will be available on all such invoices.

Patreon-Only Streams: I'll be streaming my work on my monthly Illustrations. These streams (due to the content on them) will be available to all $6+ patrons. Links will be shared here!

Hi folks!

As of yesterday, my partner and I recieved word back from an apartment that we were very interested in, and as of today we have placed our deposit to secure the place! We're very excited to be living together - I'll have a separate bedroom for an office, we'll be in a better part of town, and all around it's a big upgrade, and thankfully cheaper than the studio I'm in now.

Anyways, none of that is of particular relevance to you as my patrons, but it is some exciting personal news. In regards to how this might affect you and your pledges, I wanted to provide a warning that there is a possibility that, with all of the *everything* involved in moving, my time might be at a premium this month. Below, I've listed the things that I have in my queue for work this month, in a sort of 'triage' order. This isn't exactly the order in which I'll be doing things, but if i have to choose, I will need to work on things higher up on the list while asking for patience and understanding with the things a bit lower down:

Highest Priority:

• July's Patreon Illustration - *most* of you are here for this. It's my big once a month thing, I do not plan to skimp or be late with this whatsoever.
• Moving, packing, etc. I have to be out of here by the 1st and into my new place, no exceptions.
• Taxes for 2019 - thanks to the delays caused by covid, the tax deadline is coming up & I am filing remotely (rather than in-person) so this workload is significantly increased from previous years. Deadline is July 15.

Second highest priority:

• Commission work for Priority Commissioners. I will do my absolute best to complete these (it's a big list) before the end of July, but there is a slight chance due to the *crazy* number of commissions this month (previous months were 2-5, this month was 12) I may have to ask that some commissioners patiently wait as I get resettled and resume my queue at the start of August.

Lowest priority:

• Additional Commission openings, streams, etc. I'm not even thinking about this right now, but I mentioned it as a possibility. It won't be happening at all unless absolutely everything above this in priority is done first.

If, for any reason, any commissioner is dissatisfied with the idea of possibly needing to wait (provided your commission has not been started on) please feel free to contact me and we can discuss refund options.

Thanks for your understanding during this busy time! I hope to be back to work on a *normal* schedule in August.

Hi folks! Thank you all so much for sticking with me through 2019 while this patreon got its sea legs and we figured out the best way to make things happen :) You guys really got me through the year, and this is the most comfortable and happy with a patreon I've ever been!

In a semi-final act of pruning the roses and really streamlining this Patreon, I’ve made a few changes, some big, some small, to things around here!

PLEASE SEE THE CHANGES TO YOUR TIER!

IF YOU ARE A $30+ PATRON, YOU MUST RE-SELECT A NEW TIER!

(There is a NEW $30+ tier, but its benefits are different. Make sure to select it or another tier of your choosing as you are currently “unassigned” to a tier, and will not receive new post notifications or access!!!) Please note that I am currently in the process of editing -every single patreon post- on the site to be available to $30 patrons. I have to do this one-at-a-time! Thanks for your patience.

Here’s what’s new around here in 2020, arranged by tier:

• $2+: A Complete Online Gallery! I dont really have an online gallery anywhere that’s easy to browse! FA is not my favorite, Twitter is difficult to browse, and Tumblr is long dead… So i’ll be using Patreon as an organized, tagged, and well-maintained gallery for everything I create in 2020. Commissions, doodles, sketches, everything!
  • Of course, you still get early access to my monthly illustration, a month before the rest of the world!
• $6+: Why fix what ain’t broke? This was by far the most popular tier in 2019, and it won’t be getting any adjustment for 2020. You still get access to everything I post (with the addition of access to the new gallery mentioned above) PLUS access to the monthly illustration AND all of the edits, alts, and additional versions I create!
• $15+: Heavier Focus on Patreon for Commissions! This tier blew UP in the late half of 2019! In 2020 I’ll be putting more time and energy into making sure those of you supporting me on this level get a commission if you really want one. There will be a few changes to the commission process to support this (i.e. time limits for responses, etc so that I can make sure I am able to address everyone, and so that it doesn’t take the whole month to figure out what we’re drawing) but aside from that, no change!
• $30+: The Philanthropist’s Tier! In 2019 this tier really got overlooked and didn’t get it’s due. This year, I’ll be refocusing this tier to be more true to what it is: A way to support me above and beyond any other tier here, just because you want to keep me on my feet. I’ll be doing monthly shoutouts via my telegram group, Patreon and Twitter for those who graciously join this tier!
• Other Changes & removals: Due to being often overwhelmed and skimping on the content, I am doing away with the monthly animations. I do still plan to do them and post them here in my free time, but the pressure of doing one -every month- led me to putting out sub-par content that was rushed and forced, and I’d much rather make something nice and take my time on it for you than just crank out something sloppy to cover my dues. Additionally, since I was unable to provide them for almost the entire 2nd half of 2019, I have also removed the ‘monthly request’ feature for the $30 tier to make it more honest about the way it functions - as a tip/support feature, rather than a incomplete/owed content tier. I am hoping the addition of high quality, organized content in a gallery format for all my patrons will make up for these removals.

With commissions I'm always constrained by needing to show all of characters bodies, faces, etc because well, that's usually what a client wants when they're paying by-the-character. But I want to try doing pieces that do a little more with storytelling and composition instead of just character showcase.

This one was a challenge! Three different loops combined here all at different timings... definitely took some figuring out to get the math right on it but was very worth the extra time spent. Enjoy!

Thanks for sticking with me through this crazy month guys! BLFC was a HUGE roadblock for artwork progress this month with prep, attendance, recovery, item inventory/resituation, AND the complete and utter deletion of my tumblr page from public view.

Sorry it took so long to get the rewards out this month! I had to handle that and make 100% sure my website was back up and running (read: make an entirely new website ugh) but now it's handled and we can move on :3

Looking forward to next month! It'll be great to be back on schedule.

Realized after posting the double poll that unfortunately i'm still a bit away from making the cutoff for two illustrations this month... so I'm going to go ahead and DO the two illustrations, forgoing the animation for the month!

Next month, if we breach that $1,500 goal, we'll start doing 2 illustrations and an animation!

We've reached the goal that allows me to do a second illustration each month. Giving it some thought, and based on the way I priced my commissions, I decided i could do one of two things:

a.) Two single-character illustrations

-or

b.) One two-character illustration

I'll probably run a poll like this end of each month, so that the start of the next month I can run a poll for which characters we're doing! Let me know what you think :3

Hi folks! I've decided to upgrade the Beta, Alpha and Omega tiers to include Hi Rez copies of all my finished illustrations and the alt versions (usually an NSFW version, messy version, etc) if they are made per ilustration! For example, this month's Mufasa illustration has a copy with his junk showing, a copy with a messy butt, and a copy with both. You'll get all four versions PLUS four high res copies on all tiers Beta and higher! I konw my comic output has been relatively low as I'm still completing By the Horns (on my other patreon, patreon.com/kihublue - next page next month) so that's taking most of my comic energy atm. Thought those of you subscribed to those tiers could use a boost! I'll have a few more sketch comics done here this month though :)

Mufasa won this month's poll! I'll be doing another one like this next month. I went uh.. significantly "off model" on his body but let's be real. If Mufasa was anthropomorphized he'd be B U I L T.

Last month I did Robin Hood... I'd like to explore some more on-model stylized "OG Furry Crush" material! I came up with some options, which would you like to see me do?

These will be face on-model, body anthropmorphized, and I'm going to try to do the body in my style, but keeping with the style of the movie/parent content's original animation.

One of my friends got me a silk robe for christmas and last night i was wearing it and drinking a glass of whiskey and feeling pretty great about it. Lil 30 min sketch request, idea from TJK!

Wanted to draw robin and try to blend Disney's style with my own. Happy with the experiment! Might be doing more of these with other characters in the past.

Trying to emulate the movie's background style was very fun, too. Worked from a reference but recreated it all on my own :3 Was super fun!

Hi folks!

So sorry for the long gap in content, and for the lack of comic content last month. My travel schedule (3 out of state flights/trips) in November was ridiculous and didn't leave me much time to work.

December kicked off while I was in Chicago for MFF! The con was a great time, but i have been sick since my return (more than a week now) and have been pretty unable to work/stay at my desk for long periods of time. I've pushed out the few super time-sensitive projects I've needed to handle (FC merch order stuff) and that's about all I've been capable of.

Thankfully, on Thursday I finally bit the bullet and went to a doctor (avoided it before due to cost) and am now on 6 different types of medicine, two of which are prescription, and by today (Saturday) I'm finally starting to feel a bit better.

So! I just wanted to apologize for the lack of content, and thank you all for your support regardless. I'll have more material up this month for sure, but at the moment I have about a week to make... all of my bills + doc bills + enough to get through time off for Xmas (required... family visit... otherwise i'd just work) so I need to focus heavily on commissions.

Once my current queue is nearly complete, i will be opening up for more patron-first slots (that's you, $15+ patrons!) and I'll try to fill my queue on yall as best I can.

Beyond that, I'm hoping that my post-xmas december will be nothing but time to work on patreon content!

Big thanks again for sticking with me while I've been absent and unwell. I'm really excited to get better and get back to work (I have been going CRAZY not being able to get stuff done) and draw some of the exciting stuff I wanna draw for y'all.
