To be honest things are going kind of poorly with the move, a lot of issues have come up that just shouldn't be our problem and they should have been sorted out months ago by the lawyers and the original owner. It's hard to explain but as of right now, I don't think it will effect move in date. Hoping things just work out, it's out of our control and up to the lawyers.

As obvious as the title can make it, don't feel like my kind of work is accepted on patreon anymore. Was considering keeping both and seeing how things go but I spoke to the help desk a bit and it just doesn't sound promising for me. Plus I honestly just want to move on from this site.

Sucks to say that after so many years of support, this page will be inactive starting September and eventually wiped. (2021)

I've been handling a lot of things behind the scenes with my website, patreon and the irl move. Still working on art between everything, should have the maleficent pic done on the weekend. But will have a major update post regarding future plans in the next few days, I just don't want to crowd this post with other things in the comments.

As a heads up prior, this month was going to be a bit wonky either way with the move. So I may miss a couple of the usual updates, especially from the 14th on wards.

Okay so important update, more of a heads up.
I don't know for certain yet, and am still figuring out all the details. But along with taking a week or so off to move this month I will be making some major changes concerning patreon. Don't really like posting this before having finished the previous vote, but that Vivian idea turned into a mini comic that I am SUPER happy with so far. So I don't mind being a little late if it means it'll be worth it, a lot more work than I usually do for polls.

Always have trouble figuring out posing and such but then suddenly it all comes together and bam it just works like I wasn't struggling to draw the entire week prior or something... art is a bitchhh lol. Some rendered stuff while I was away, happy with how things came out. Got flustered drawing my furry boyfriend against his will lmao. Mostly done in CSP again so spent a lot of time drawing in bed tbh.
Teeth still hurt a fair bit since I have started chewing more and stuff. Also noticed that I suck my back teeth in when I concentrate and sleep, so there has been a bit of blood lately lol.

pretty lackluster in terms of quantity this month, spent most of it messing around with things kind of figuring out what i want to do with my art and just trying new stuff. then my teeth started to hurt lol. want to put more focus towards rendering and maybe learning how animating works in CSP, been getting inspired by other artists lately and want to try it again.

it is taking forever to even get my first consultation booked with a specialist let alone set a surgery date, so hopefully it can be sorted out soon. i really don't feel great.

While putting together a vote today I got kind of caught between a few ideas and couldn't really decide on what to put in, this tends to happen a lot and I usually just end up choosing whatever seems right for a fair vote. In any case it hardly ever is and one idea usually blows the others out of the water and they have no chance.

I know it's impossible to please everybody, but I always get really stuck on what to do for it because I tend to flip flop between interests. So I wanted to try something different where I take 5 sketches of mine, old or new. And then you guys vote for which is finished.

Some of them will be pretty smudgey, but before this there was just names with no sketches so it's like a step up? Characters will either be 1 for certain or maybe it's a rough body shape and you could suggest others. Spark an idea in my brain and get lucky. Not sure how likely these will be voted for but who knows.

Either way let's see how this goes and let me know how you feel about it. I am very sleepy and will check back tomorrow, have a great night. ^^

was watching through home movies recently and basically decided that i was in love with paula small but our love could never be. not what i would usually draw, humans aren't always that interesting to me. the characters do all look like blobby half human messes tho, so that's probably why lol.

Heyo, little update along with a few sketches.

Moving into the new year I want to focus on putting an end to doubting things and holding back. I spent a good chunk of the last year beating myself up a lot and without rambling TOO much just building an environment around me that isn't healthy.

I stop myself from carrying out a lot of personal ideas because my immediate thought is "nobody would like this." and I need to stop doing that for my own sake. I always tell people it's just art and you need to have fun with it and do whatever you want, otherwise what's the point? But I haven't been doing that a whole lot tbh.

Basically new year, new-ish me. I'm in a good place and I don't want to ruin that by making things hard on myself for no reason, and honestly just need to try and be more confident and not shut myself away from everything so much.

Nothing with quickies requests etc will change, they are fun for me. I just want to experiment more and hopefully stick to it so I can feel better and deliver for you guys at the same time.

Okay so bad news, the deal on the house fell through and now we are on the look again. :')
As much as we wanted it, just couldn't get what we needed for it to be a good enough deal, owner refused to budge on dropping the cost to cover needed repairs so we walked.

It felt really discouraging at the time but can only hope we find something worth it in the next few months, the market is fucking terrible for sellers at the moment and they are trying to get whatever they can. We are desperate to move but gotta suck it up for a while longer.

Also Cinderace sucks. I really hate it's design and wanted to challenge myself with drawing it, then while working on it I started to like this particular one and went overboard lol.

really struggled to get the flag looking how i wanted during the lineart phase, just had to trust that i'd be able to pull it together during rendering and i'm really happy with how it turned out considering how tricky it was lol.

Will be trying something different this month with a randomizer for ideas, while I personally pick out just a few.

I'm going to be making an effort to keep work files for quickies from now on in order to share them here with you. Will upload at the end/start of each month similar to the Monthly $5 batch.

These will not be as organized as rendered files, but more content shared is more content for you to play with. Unfortunately I don't have the original files for basically all previous quickie stuff, it's either deleted or unusable because all layers were merged. That's my fault sorry.

These a long with all future GIMP files will be in PSD format. This will not effect you opening files in GIMP for rendered work, but please be aware that some settings are different between programs. So certain things may need to be played around with if you are only using GIMP and trying to open a quickie file. (I do those in Clip Studio Paint)

I spent a lot of time busy with irl stuff lately but I'm happy to say that we put an offer on a house and it was accepted, inspection went okay and we still have a few things to sort out before anything is finalized but we have a good feeling about this and that never happens lol.

So fingers crossed everything goes okay, we wouldn't move in for about 2 months from now which stinks. But hopefully I will be able to focus on drawing a bit more before then, as I've been pretty unhappy with my output recently and have struggled to keep up with things. I try not to get too excited over stuff but we are really looking forward to this and just hope it works out.

unfortunately earlier this week there was a death in my close family, it has hit even harder than i thought it would and being overseas has made that difficult. i know we're pretty chill here, and i've kind of made it clear that i want art to be a part of my life that i share, without it feeling like a job.

but with that being said as things are right now i need a short break, there has been a lot going on in my personal life lately and this was the tipping point. i'm not happy about it but genuinely lack any motivation to draw at the moment despite trying, it usually serves as a good distraction at the least.

Wasn't happy with what I had for the chrysalis pic which wasn't much anyway, but really like this one. Recorded the lineart process so will get the rendering too, probably one of the more complicated ones so was nice to get that. ^^

Will be doing something else with her as well, will have that and a bunch more rendered next week. Felt good just working on lineart and ipad stuff the last few days cus now I miss my desk lol.

i'm trying out different things for recording full process videos from lines to shading. since i work in 2 different programs, things are framed differently etc.

so these might look a little weird and vary between each other until i figure something out, more so for the longer recordings that are hard to get under 200MB without completely shredding them. will likely stick with how i did the cattanooga one, or something similar.

Thanks for the patience lately with gaps between uploads etc, some stuff going on in my personal life at the moment to be honest and it's just been a lot to handle.
I know we don't exactly keep a schedule here but it still feels shitty to not have anything complete to show regularly, either way enjoy the lamb.

That being said I'm going to try and make Fridays the day for $1 tier updates.
So upload a batch every Friday with the work from that week. Tend to hoard things a little with how my routine goes so it'd work out, would just be filled with the usual sketches/flats/requests, gonna start that up tomorrow.

Finished during the weekend but had difficulties looking at computer screens and such, relating to eye stuff posted on twitter, it's still sort of disorienting but just something I need to get used to until it fixes itself.

Happy with how this turned out though, hoping to finish multiple rendered pics this week and get back into that more frequently again.

Just a small note... to avoid confusion, I'm gonna be calling the coloured request sort of things 'quick pics' or 'quickies' from now on instead of sketches.
Even though I use the same method for these as sketching, takes a bit more work obviously lol. Since they are shaded etc doesn't feel truthful calling them sketches and it confuses people a lot too.

Things from today, woke up feeling pretty good. Decided to draw both Vixey and Nala since I'm behind with the polls and had similar ideas for both, I did the lines for these on the iPad instead of the tablet if you notice a small difference.

I'm liking CSP a lot more recently but just can't get into it for rendering, dunno why but GIMP really does just feel better for shading despite being well... GIMP, and I love it.

I'm starting to enjoy shading with the eraser more than the brush itself recently, going to try and incorporate that into lighter drawings, bring in a bit more texture.

Had the settings set really low for some reason so the first half of the recording is sort of grainy. Not sure why it was lowered, will double check in the future. It's still fine though, otherwise included a quick one of the Celaeno pic. To be honest I'm pretty self conscious about how I sketch/draw in general, but hopefully this is neat to watch.

Marian turned out nothing like originally planned but still like the end result. Really happy with Aislinn as well, sloppy BJs are perf. :D

Edit: We got some test results back and things may not be as serious as they had seemed. There is an infection that could be the real cause behind some worrying symptoms and levels of toxins in her urine that mimic kidney disease. But it could have been a blessing in disguise, as it helped us catch real kidney problems that can be managed.

She will be on medication and if we are lucky the infection will clear up and she will just be on a new diet/take vitamins. We will not know for certain until she has taken the antibiotics for a while and is tested again, but if this is the case I cannot express my relief. Thank you for the understanding and all of the supportive comments. 2 or so months could now be years and that's incredible.

Unfortunate news but we have learned over the weekend that Meg (my dog) has developed kidney problems and likely does not have a lot of time left. Won't go into it further since it's a really shitty situation and there isn't much that needs to be said.

It was very difficult finding out and I'm still upset, but for the time being it's fine. She is old and it was coming. Just putting this up as I'm behind on what I wanted to have finished due to this and will be posting what I have/contacting people who need updates tomorrow.

just messed up and saved over something somewhere in the middle, still a few flaws but i tried my best with what i had.
