Nevada County Arts Council
The Nevada County Arts Council (NCAC) was the official Nevada County, California, USA arts council.
During its 27-year history, NCAC worked with school districts to create arts curriculum and artists-in-residence programs. The Arts Council's long-standing history of collaboration, and support for emerging artists and arts organizations, has helped earn Nevada County its current reputation as one of California's top three artistic rural communities.
ARTmatters was the official online magazine of the NCAC.
As of 2010, the Nevada County Arts Council is no longer functioning.
The Arts Collaborative of Nevada County, a newer organization, continues the tradition of working to support and engender collaboration among arts groups in the highly arts-oriented rural county.
