In 2005, Tennis Magazine ranked her as the 17th-best player in 40 years.[11]

In June 2011, she was named one of the "30 Legends of Women's Tennis: Past, Present and Future" by Time.[12] In 2014 she was named one of ESPNW's Impact 25.[13]
