Zoe Yin (simplified Chinese 尹亮景 born in 2001) is an American contemporary painter and novelist. Boston WCVB-TV, China Central TV, China Education TV, Cleveland WCPN Radio, THNKR-TV, China Daily call her a child prodigy.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Background

Yin was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Her mother, Yuemao Xu, is a real estate developer. Her father, Dr. Yizhong Yin, is a businessman. Her older sibling, Victoria Yin, is also a child prodigy painter and poet.

Career

Yin began drawing when she was one year old. At age six, she became a member of the Andover Artists Guild [8] and exhibited at the 33rd annual Andover Art in the Park, where she sold her first acrylic painting. She exhibited at the International Art Expo New York City at age 8.[9]

Yin has been represented by galleries in America and China since age nine, and became internationally known.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16]

Her first museum exhibition was at the World Art Museum in Beijing, China when she was ten.[1][2][3][7] At the same time, her art book with her sibling “Art World Child Prodigy Siblings-- Victoria Yin, Zoe Yin” was published in English and Chinese.[17]

Yin was interviewed by CCTV (China Central TV) cultural express,[1] China Education Television TV,[2] and CCTV worldwide broadcasting program cross over and painted live in front of a worldwide audience.[3] Yin was also interviewed by Boston WCVB-TV Chronicle.

Yin's story was documented in two episodes of PRODIGIES, "Young Prodigies Dazzle The Art World" [5] and "Art Prodigy Compared to Matisse" [6] when she was 11. (PRODIGIES is a bi-weekly series from THNKRtv, initiated by Google, showing the youngest and brightest talents).
