Founded in 1972, Ziehm Imaging GmbH is a private company [1][2] that develops, manufactures, and markets medical devices as mobile X-ray imaging solutions, mainly C-Arm, for operating rooms worldwide[3] in spine surgery, orthopedics, traumatology, vascular surgery and further clinical applications. The company has its Worldwide headquarter in Nuremberg, Germany, and its Americas headquarter in Orlando, FL, and operates internationally. Among the companies with which Ziehm Imaging competes are GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthcare, Philips Healthcare and Medtronic. In 2006, Ziehm Imaging launched the first fully digital mobile C-Arm [4] in the world with a flat-panel detector.[5]
