Zhang Tianai (Chinese: 张天爱, born October 28, 1990), is a Chinese actress and model. She is best known for her breakout role in the 2015 hit web-drama Go Princess Go.

Career

After she studied overseas in Japan, Zhang came back to China and trained under Beijing Film Academy. While studying, she also regularly filmed various television advertisements.

In 2009, she was invited by her good friend and director to star in his short film Cherry Blossom. She headed to Korea to film the movie, alongside Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun. After which, she continued to appear in CFs and advertisements, Through her connections, she signed a contract with FWS (喜天影视文化(北京)有限公司) in 2012 and gained various supporting roles in dramas.

Zhang first gained attention in 2014 when she acted alongside Sun Honglei in The Legendary Sniper.[1] She won a Best Supporting Actress at the 2nd Hengdian Wenrong Awards for her performance.[2] She then starred in the highly successful web drama Go Princess Go.[3] The low-budget series unexpectedly became a commercial hit, and shot Zhang to fame.[4]

In March 2016, she was cast in the period fantasy film Legend of the Naga Pearls, co-starring with Darren Wang.[5] In May 2016, she was cast alongside Deng Chao in the romantic comedy I Belonged to You.[6] The film was released in September and topped box office charts.

In October 2016, she was cast as the female lead in xianxia drama Martial Universe, which stars Yang Yang as the main character.[7] She was also cast in the comedy film Father and Son.[8] In November 2016, she joined the cast of The Legend of the Cat Demon.
