Yio Chu Kang Single Member Constituency

Yio Chu Kang Single Member Constituency.

Yio Chu Kang Single Member Constituency (Traditional Chinese: 楊厝港單選區; Simplified Chinese: 杨厝港单选区) was a single member constituency in the north-eastern area, Singapore. The boundary surrounds the town centre of Ang Mo Kio New Town. However, Yio Chu Kang is not part of the constituency but in the Ang Mo Kio Group Representation Constituency instead. The constituency was carved out from the Ang Mo Kio GRC in the redrawn boundaries for the general election in 2006, only to be re-absorbed into Ang Mo Kio Group Representation Constituency again in the redrawn boundaries for the general election in 2011 . On top of that, the ward once existed since 1980 election until 1991 election when it was merged into Ang Mo Kio GRC.
