In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy roleplaying game, the yeti is a monstrous humanoid.
Publication history
The yeti first appeared in The Strategic Review #3 (August 1975).
The yeti appeared in first edition in the original Monster Manual (1977).[1] The yeti was further detailed in Dragon #127 (November 1987).[2]
The yeti appeared in second edition in the Monstrous Compendium Volume One (1989),[3] and reprinted in the Monstrous Manual (1993).[4] The yeti appeared as a player character race in Dragon #265 (November 1999).[5]
The yeti appeared in third edition in Dungeon #84 (November 2001). The yeti also appeared in Oriental Adventures (2001),[6] and Frostburn: Mastering the Perils of Ice and Snow (2004), which also included the abominable yeti.[7]
The yeti appeared in the fourth edition in Monster Manual 3 (2010).[8]

Yetis are large bipedal beasts covered in white fur.

A yeti is usually neutral in alignment.
Creative origins
The yeti of Dungeons & Dragons is based on the yeti of Himalayan legend.
