Yeh Vaada Raha (English: It's A Promise) is an Indian television series that started on September 21, 2015 and is currently airing on Zee TV.[1]

Plot

Season 1: Raised by a single father Shrikant, Survi is a mature, responsible 9-year old girl who thinks logically. Kartik, on the other hand, is a childish and impulsive 19-year old guy. Kartik's family consists of his mother (Lata), sister (Shanti), his uncle (Digambar aka Bhau), aunt (Kamla aka Tai) and their children (Hema, Bindu & Aniket). When Bhau, who is a local don, is shot by the police, Tai blames Shrikant for betraying them and vows revenge. Shrikant and Survi are forced to flee to Dubai whereas Kartik promises Tai that he will take responsibility of her and her children along with his own mother and sister. 4 years later when Tai finally gets Shrikant trapped in a smuggling case, Kartik, who is now a rich industrialist, brings Survi to his house by making a promise to Shrikant that he will protect Survi until the end. Kartik struggles to fulfill both his promises made to Tai and Survi's father and here starts Kartik and Survi's journey of developing an unlikely friendship, falling in love, getting married and becoming parents as they struggle to overcome obstacles created by Tai and her minions and also, their own clashing personalities. Season 1 ends with Tai killing Survi & Khushi making a promise to her mother that she will take care of her mentally deranged father.
