Yasra Rizvi (born 15 November 1982), is a Pakistani film director, actress and writer from Islamabad who has worked in Pakistan's theatre, film and television industry for more than a decade.[1]

Life and career

Yasra Rizvi was born on 15 November 1982 in Islamabad, Pakistan. She attended Western Michigan University and received BBA degree in Human Resource Management.[2] Yasra started her career as a writer in 2004. She joined a theatre and wrote her first play "Bench". Yasra has wrote and acted in many plays. She gained popularity by her play named "Diary" in which she played her role of "Veera".[3][4][5] Yasra made her debut as a television actress by doing a minor role in Sabiha Sumar's serial "Mi Raqsam" which was aired on Geo TV. She then acted in "Virasat" and "Mann Ke Moti". Yasra made her Lollywood debut in the film Manto.[6] She will also appear in the film Senti Aur Mental with Yasir Hussain which is written and directed by herself and is her film directorial debut.[7]
