Yaesu FT-60
The Yaesu FT-60 is a dual band handheld transceiver. It is a popular choice for new amateur radio operators as it is relatively inexpensive, costing about US$200, and as low as US$145 among some Yaesu dealers on the Web. It operates on the most common line-of-sight amateur radio bands, 2 meters and 70 centimeters.
eHam.net rates the FT-60 at 4.6 out of 5.[1] There are Internet groups devoted to using the FT-60R.[2]
