Xevious: Scramble Mission

History

The Game was released on a plug and play like bundle pack in 2006 called Let's! TV Play Classic 1 which had 4 games on it and those were

Xevious

Mappy

Xevious: Scramble Mission

and Mappy: Revenge of Nyamco

The game never was released as an individual cartridge in America but only appeared in the Plug and Play version for America

The Plug and Play is quite rare to find which means not many other people can see the game. The Plug and Play is only in Japan but can be imported to America with English translations up to a cost of 100-200$

Gameplay

The game is a timed based game which has your ship in going through futuristic tunnels and destroying enemies. The game is similar to Xevious with same graphics and A and B buttons for shooting enemies in the air and blowing up enemies in the ground. The gameplay is different with a faster scrolling vertical screen and there is a timer in the corner. The game gives you 3 lives and if you get hit in game you won't lose a life but the screen slows down and then speeds up again. You don't want to slow down in game because the only way to win is to complete the level in time. There are new enemies like crushing walls and smaller Xevious enemies. There also are other ways to collect points like collecting special flags which first appeared in Rally-X.
