XMASS

XMASS is a multipurpose physics experiment in Japan that monitors a large tank of xenon for flashes of light that might be caused by hypothetical dark matter particles.[1]

Its results have not confirmed the annual variation seen in some earlier experiments.[2]

Detector

It contains about 800 kg of liquid xenon.[3]
