The Women's Philippine Basketball Association (WPBA) is an upcoming women's semi-professional basketball league in the Philippines. It will be run by the Philippine Basketball Association. The women's league will be patterned after the PBA Developmental League and will be open to school-based teams. The inaugural edition is scheduled to be launched in January 2017.[1]
