The songs are from the two individual landmark albums With Footnotes and In The Volume Of The Book released in 1974 and 1975 respectively.
These twenty-four songs were born out of the spiritual awakening of the early '70s and they uncover some of the foundations of Contemporary Christian Music.
The album title In The Volume Of The Book is a reference from Psalm 40:7 ("...in the volume of the book it is written of me").
